I am looking forward to Autosteer for long roadtrips though the truck drives so easily it is not that bad. Have done two over 1,200 mile road trips with only TACC. FSD just makes stupid lane changes and is annoying (to me) to use on the freeway/higway.
It is strange and super annoying that Tesla doesn't give drivers more control over things. Bad enough that it was only able to be disabled for the current drive (SX3Y) but now they took it away from the CT.

Does anyone know why the " Minimal Lane change for Current Drive " setting isn't available on the Cybertruck? I was driving for a few hours on the turnpike and my only complaint is that it kept putting the turn signal on and switching lanes continuously without me wanting to. I use that setting all the time in my Model Y and 3.

According to the user manual that’s what the Chill, Standard and Hurry FSD modes are supposed to do.

Just got my truck back from SC and they said the CT does not have autosteer.
"Found at this time for cybertrucks autosteer is not included in the basic autopilot configuration."

Skimmed through this thread couldn’t find anything…
Hopefully not redundant.
Keeping it simple, stupid…
If you want something close to autopilot, just be sure not to set a destination and it will be much like auto pilot used to.
The main difference is it will stop at the stop sign and lights, etc.

The problem with this is that it will change lanes and/or make turns on it's own. Elon was quoted on X as saying it's essentially on "random" mode at that point. It will not operate like Basic Autopilot, I tested this extensively hoping it was a reasonable solution before posting this thread.

It's a bit of a bait-and-switch for Non-FSD equipped CT owners who should have (according to Tesla's own definition) Basic Autopilot which includes both TACC and Autosteer. I have a FSD truck but I still wish it could do just Basic Autopilot sometimes.

Got my truck back from Service. One of the items was lack of Autosteer. My Service invoice says:

"Verified Autosteer is not enabled. Found at this time for cybertrucks, autosteer is not included in the basic autopilot configuration. Full self driving only has this enabled at this time."

On the App it says my truck has "Base Autopilot". What is that?
It is TACC, Autosteer, and lane following, among other safety features.

As far as others have said, Autosteer (and therefore lane following) is not currently enabled on Cybertruck.

It's probably why they're offering more FSD samples than with other models in their line up right now. Tesla focused on getting FSD to the Supervised mode first, instead of coding Autosteer. Also probably because they offered FSD as standard on the Foundation Series. ...and they probably did that to build a sufficient value case for buyers as well as a user pool to test FSD.

Luckily, this is something Tesla can add over the air later.
