I live in Boston and my parking garages are too old to install electric chargers.
That's a new one on me! A garage that''s "to old" to install EV charging? Do you mean the garage is scheduled for demolition so it wouldn't be worth it?

FSD, voucher/power share, mobile charger, upgraded rims/tires (if you selected), white, etc. are all additional things included as well.
I would take the Gray interior over the white anyway. And I thought they stopped including the voucher/powershare a long time ago. Or is this really a consideration for whether one buys a Foundation or non-Foundation?

I'm reading that as a multi-space urban parking garages, not residential types.

They stopped the voucher when the non-FS was released. Now FS comes with lifetime free Supercharging (until the end of the month) which is an even better value.

I only stated that to say, the FS does come with a list of accessories that add up.

Me too. I didn't understand why the age of the garage disqualified it from being electrified. You can run electrical conduit in an old garage the same way it's done in a newer garage.

What if the garage has no electrical service though? (Or only 50A for required exit lighting).

You run electrical wiring from the nearest point where there is electric infrastracture.

That's what conduit is for. To bring electricity to places that formerly didn't have it. But my point was that the age of the building doesn't preclude installing charging infrastructure (the claim was the parking garage was too old to install chargers).

Ok, too old to install chargers at a reasonable cost...

Does it cost more to install chargers in an old parking garage or one built 10 years ago?

My point is, it's not the age of the parking garage that determines how much it would cost to install charging, it's the proximity to a power feed. Age is not a determining factor. Either way you're going to need conduit, breakers and chargers and you will likely need a new service panel with it's own power feed. None of this is terribly expensive in terms of what it costs to do meaningful upgrades to commercial spaces.

Well there you go. Any already built parking garages are too old to retrofit. ?
I'm kidding, but cost to feed that new service panel can vary a bunch.

Boston does require 25% of spots in new garages and developments that require large plan approval to have EV charging. Their goal is charging within a 10 minute walk by 2040, but may achieve 5 minutes by 2030.

Tesla is still not allowed trade-in Cybertruck wow
How could they? They can’t get rid of the ones they have. If they knew how to sell them they would gladly take it back. I can’t get Chevrolet to stop begging me to give them back my C8!

Why would any Chevy dealer want a C8 back? Dealer lots are overflowing with them. GM/Chevy simply built too many (53K in 23 and 50K in 24)and now the normal discount is about 10-15% off except for ZR1 and Z06s (but those are discounted 5%). I will pull the trigger when Z51 trims are discounted $15K. Currently around $12-13K off sticker.
