Camera Video Footage is Very Limited....?

What brand of SSD do you have, there are a lot of fake SSDs online that have firmware to make them look bigger, but will overwrite themselves when they start to get full. i.e. A 1 TB Drive will only have 1 GB then just loop over itself. LTT has a good video on this, and I believe there is a way to test it.

It is a Sandisk SSD was the 2 TB Drive and the other was 1 TB WD SSD M2 Drive in a case.

That’s normal. Hard drive will only have saved videos (ie Sentry or manually saved Dashcam) and 1hr of recent videos. Recent videos will be overwritten if not saved.

Sounds Like to bring this up as a upgrade to the system if we complain about it. Seems dumb to me if you want more video like when off roading or a long trip, I would like to have minimum of 8-24 hours that was gives a person a change to save them off.

The current configuration may actually be a total system memory (RAM) limitation more than anything; Tesla squeezes every ounce of processing juice out of the processing nodes on the truck.

Honestly I am ok with the 1 minute Length and that could be a RAM issue because you would buffer that video in Ram then dump to storage, but to have a storage limitation is not a Ram issue. I think this was either not thought about or short slightness on Tesla part as sizes or storage are growing almost by the day.

Yes they are only one minute I have to get home to my laptop and check how each one is partitioned You have to select the size of the partition for the Tesla folder so maybe you didn't partition enough space?

its 1 TB in size I don't feel that is the limitation here.

RAM has to be available to address a large block of storage though; thus the total size limit. It's not a short sighted move by Tesla; it's a resource constraint.
