500 mile to the next service is a big commitment. Props to you! And here I am thinking the hour long drive to stateline from Topeka is rough lol
Oh there are closer service centers but I was offered a lightbar if I came to a specific one. I'm sure I could have waited longer and gotten it eventually but I have some events coming up where the lightbar will be handy to have so I opted to get it sooner at my expense and time to go to a different service center that is 500 miles away from home. Then again I like to drive and had a conference in this city to attend so it all worked out as I can expense my mileage. ?

They’re definitely not keeping a track, I pick up my cyberwheel covers last year in November. When I was in for a service in January I dropped off my truck with out of covers. When I picked up same day they asked me if I want my cybercovers instal or leave in the back. That was second set I got it.
Last week when I got my tires rotation done I dropped the truck in the service center without covers. When I picked up truck on end of the day I received another new set of cyberwheel covers. Now I got 12 of new design and still 4 the original ( useless )comes with the truck over year ego.
And yes I received in mail last week free hub covers too ?

Hi Cyberun, I just sent you a private mesage. Thank you.

And here I thought this thread was about the lightbar... ???
Just because we aren't pirates or wearing a ski mask doesn't mean we can't hijack stuff...

It's easy to get your light bar. You just have to make an appointed in the tesla app and state: Install light bar. This triggers your service center to order from Tesla - boom. I did this a few weeks ago and worked perfectly. You just need to be proactive. You'll never receive 'the email' we were all waiting for stating 'your light bar is here.' Enjoy.
Didn't work for me - twice in a row. So I had to keep pushing out the service appt.

It's stealing if you take something that isn't yours... if a company makes an error, that doesn't mean it's right to keep their property. That's how I was raised, that's how I'd want someone to treat me if I accidentally gave someone something I didn't mean to.

I just can't, in good conscious, keep something that I didn't pay for or earn or was gifted on purpose.

Everyone's different, I get it. But, someone somewhere paid for those caps.
Agreed about stealing. But this isn’t a mistake. They are apologizing for failure to deliver as promised. The gift is the classy way to say sorry.

Just a quick update after almost 400 miles of highway driving there is zero wind noise from the lightbar and no noticeable effect on range. I'm sure it probably has a small effect but that effect is within the noise of speed, headwinds, temps etc that all also affect your range. When I look at kwh burn rates they are all within the normal range of what I see. For example, if I know that I get around 400-425 kwh burn rate at 80mph and I am seeing 418 then would that have been. 415 without the light bar I don't know, but the overall numbers are still within expected and prior observed ranges. Once I return I will take more photos, hook things up and publish an article with my findings, but again no negatives thus far.

Can confirm. Got mine installed yesterday along with the winter tire package. No noise from the light bar. The tires on the other hand.. way louder than stock!

So I see. In that case, I'd take them.

I actually like the look of those vs the others I have seen. I sold the wheel covers when i took delivery back in September figuring if I wanted them later, i'd just buy at list then.

Thanks to a power outage due to bad storms last night I'm shuttling my light bar from one Tesla center to another for install. Technically I have a light bar! Will update once it is installed but I thought how fun to snap a pic of the box. ?
