Was just coming back here to post the same. I'm in NJ and have gone through the same thing as you. Keep opening service tickets and adding in the light bar install. They keep coming back and saying it's not available yet. I told them others are having the SC order the light bar. They told me I can order it in the Tesla app. They also said my beast doesn't have any open recalls. So I pasted the NHTSA link for my VIN showing 1 open recall.

Does my SC just suck? Is there one in the NJ area that people recommend? Eatontown is the one I've been using.
Okay, update to my tiny rant above. After the SC said I could order the lightbar, I asked for them to show me the link to the shop where I could order it. They came back and apologized and said they could order it for me and install it. So that's awesome. That's happening next Friday. Weirdly, they said my truck still doesn't show a recall for the cantrail but if it comes up before next Friday they will take care of it then.

Whew.... was starting to lose faith in my SC.

I’m knocking on wood as I type this, but- my goodness - have I been lucky with my truck! Really, no problems- I got my wheel covers and light bar in a reasonable amount of time no recalls and as I pull on these cantrails they seem to be solid as a rock.

It sucks that people have had so many issues.

It did not, later in the day they notified me, again, that my VIN has not come up yet in the que so I need to continue to wait. The light bars are assigned to your VIN...which I would think mine would have come up long ago. And so the saga continues...

Man, I am sorry to hear that. I was a July delivery and in December I had a pending service call and added "accessory install: light bar and wheel covers." I followed up in messages asking about light bar and they told me they would put it on order and add to due bill when installed. I postponed the service visit until it arrived. I hope you get it soon.

Not all CT has defect, mine is a FS vin in the 3xxx, not any of the recalls happened to my truck. I am thinking, just a good enough number of CT out are affected to triggered the recall, but not all.

Just called Tesla, it's not clear to the service team yet if the cantrail will be fully replaced so those of us with wraps still have hope. I also have a good relationship with the crew that wrapped my truck so I'm hoping to work with them in case I do need to rewrap that part, I've sent them a few people as referrals for more business. Might be a good strategy for some of you if you're concerned about the cost.

I can see the wrap issue is a big one for most CT owners. Good tip for folks who have NOT wrapped but are considering wrapping soon.

Consider going with TWRAPs out of southern Cali. The owner is insanely responsive and it's a self-install process. If you have 1-2 days of time you can spare, a clean garage, attention to some degree of detail and want to save literally $5-6k on a high quality PPF wrap install, GO WITH THEM! I get $0.00 kickback for sharing this:). No cutting necessary too.

For example, on this particular recall issue...this will cost me $12 of new contrail PPF wrap for both sides and 1 hour of my time because I know the process to address it...no big deal. Now, the $12 price could creep up a few bucks higher if not in stock but way cheaper than what I see posted here. Pretty cool.

I was also told that my beast wasn't in their system for the cantrail recall when I was getting my lightbar installed. But it's on the nhsta website.

Thanks for posting. It's discouraging reading all the problems daily. I keep in mind that internet forums (at times) are for people to seek solutions. I can see a day the tide will change and we will see more posts about people having fun with their truck.

Anyway, it's good to hear that somebody out their is having a good experience with their Cybertruck!

Most are having a great experience.
Maybe I'm frequenting the wrong media.

Me just finished up reading the panels falling off, I hate my wiper, someone flipped me off as I'm driving to the service center for the third time so they can tell me my truck is in spec and doesn't need a fix but it really does lol.

Hook me up with a happy cybertruck link so I can get out of these other depressing threads!

Recall count is vehicles produced, but yeah accurate data point.
Not sure this is accurate. My VIN is not part of recall and confirmed with Tesla Service center. Not sure if they messed up or not all Cybertrucks produced are affected

Interesting, that's via the NHTSA/Tesla web site and service center?
What were your build and delivery dates?

You restored my faith for the day! I've seen some of the YouTube videos posted in that thread before, but I forgot the good things I've seen or read when flooded with negative from what feels like all directions lately.

@HaulingAss has a fairly long post in the link - this part stood out to me:

The Cybertruck is very easy to drive off-road due to (in rough order of importance):

1) a high and unobstructed ground clearance and good approach and departure angles.
2) Steer-by-Wire (the high ratio of the steering makes it effortless to make fast direction changes at slow speeds making it more adept at following a tortuous path and avoid hazards.
3) Very well dialed throttle control and traction controls make it easy to always apply the right amount of power or regen for the situation.
4) Four-Wheel-Steering (at slow speeds the rear tires follow the front tires more closely when following a tortuous path) That makes it a lot more likely you can avoid running over the worst obstacles with the all four tires.
5) Dual mechanical lockers (for when you need maximum traction on uneven ground)
6) Front, rear and side cameras are very handy and easy to use (once you gain some experience reading them)
6) Off-road cruise control (or whatever Tesla calls it). This is great for very rugged trails that are not too technical.

I've taken this off topic enough so, back to panels, and maybe I or someone should start a new thread about how great the Cybertruck is :)

Hey, if you find a nice scenic untraveled road through a forest, set trail assist to 3 MPH, turn off climate control, and roll down all the windows, I can 99.99% guarantee no trim will fall off during the drive.
