FSD Stopped, cruise stopped, parking brake degraded…

Driving in left lane at 75mph suddenly FSD stops alarms go off. “FSD unavailable “”cruise unavailable “”parking break degraded””automatic vehicle hold degraded” car may be rolling” can’t remember the other alarms.

I reset from steering wheel. Nope

I hard reset for two minutes. Same issues.

am 2 hours into 6 hour trip. Thoughts?

Funny thing. Saw a candy red Cybertruck on a wrecker and thought- man- that sucks.
Turns out it’s not a chat bot. It’s a person on the text.

Two hours from home. Nearest service center closed until Monday. I get a $50 Uber voucher.
I travel for work and am told storage fees will start if car not picked up within 24 hours of work complete.

Tesla making it hard to be happy customer for this first time Tesla owner.

It got progressively worse and the CT started to panic with alarms galore. Then when I put it in Tow Mode it froze up in panic mode. Couldn’t shut off lights- it had brights on- and wouldn’t go in park. Couldn’t lock doors. Couldn’t roll up windows. Wrecker got it up on the bed (barely) and tied it down as best he could but it was still rolling back and forth a bit on the wrecker- absolutely no parking brake.

People were honking and giving the finger as we drove in the wrecker because the CT brights were still on and it was facing the oncoming traffic.

Not what I expected.

I went to small airport locally and rented a car on my dime. Tesla said they don’t cover anything but the towing- even if it’s 4 weeks old. I miss FSD and the quiet cabin.

Typically the tow guy will allow you to ride with them to where they take the truck hopefully it’s a service center. and you can uber from there. Service will likely give you a loaner if they can’t just quick fix it.

Thats the first time I heard anything this drastic. Hope it gets fixed fast. Are you going to continue on the trip with the rental or wait for the truck?

Tesla Roadside said they do not pay to have Tow service drop us off but offered a $50 Uber voucher. We were in the middle of no where at a rest stop on the border of Georgia and Tennessee. I wasn’t taking a chance on Uner that far out at 10pm. Tow truck took two hours to arrive and he said he would not leave us stranded here and asked permission from Tesla to drop us at the airport. Tesla said they won’t pay any extra. He did it for free. Absolutely unacceptable for Tesla.

I was a fan boy until this incident. I see how they are keeping efficiency as top priority. At 3,550 miles in I’ve seen Tesla is just like Ford is just like any other big car business when you are broken down. Was foolish to think differently. I will use AAA next time. They may be just as cheap but at least it wouldn’t make me lose even more trust in the most forward thinking inventor company in the world.

I still do miss that CT after driving 4 hours in a RAV4 rental. I’m just now aware that Tesla roadside sucks. I would never recommend them.
