Good point. Installation cost would be a lot. My house also already has a generator hookup and lockout so I can just by a ~$100 cable and power the house manually.
I do the same
Interlock and works great

I thought PowerShare was 11kw? If so will power much more than a few circuits
I am only going by what the electrian said whene he came out and wired up my universal charger only. He said it would not be too big of deal in the future to hook up the power share now that all the cables were run, but that Q-Merit would need to perform calculations and he said it wouldn't power my whole house (which is only like 3,000 SF...maybe 3,500, I forget).

I don't know much about electricity.,..so It probably would be prudent to get second opinion...but I was just going by what he told me...

Just wanted to share that our screen protector is on sale 40% Off! We're actually taking a $8 loss on each unit sold on Amazon - mainly because we overproduced and Cybertruck sales haven’t been as strong as expected.

Reduces fingerprints, glare, and reflections, especially with the white interior. A small upgrade for a cleaner, more comfortable drive.

Our screen protector is now on sale—get both front and rear for under $30! Try it out, and we’re sure you’ll love it!

I agree but if you take advantage of the lease buyout, its $8k cheaper. I will definitely be doing some follow up research on the lease buyout because I can get a better finance rate than Tesla offers anyway.
Minus that 1.99 they did last month. No bank is beating that.

The FS Beast might be cost constructive if you get PowerShare (4k towards installation and 2.5k for equipment) & light bar. If none of those extras interest you have nothing to lose by waiting in my opinion.
I thought they did away with this rebate for all foundations? The beast just gets the light bar and unlimited supercharging? Or am I wrong?

Also, this is a big deal in CA with 100-degree+ temps in summer. In NJ I'm sure it's not too important.
Good point, for me the main focus is we’ll pump, septic pump, furnace and lights

I also have natural gas for heat and hot water

either way the 11kw is a lot and can likely run almost everything although ac might need at least soft start added to it

Hoping that CT sales pick up so the aftermarket does not disappear
If the CT turns into another fringe model X style vehicle with sub 30k units sold a year the aftermarket prices will go up and selection will go down.

Although this current incentive makes it a no-brainer for anyone buying for a business

CT was also over-produced, at least in 2024. The Foundation Series was replaced by the non-FS in October 2024 -- and yet six months later, Tesla is still trying to move 2024 Foundation CTs out of inventory, with incentives like discounts and free supercharging.

The (overly sensational) Elektrek story claims that Tesla is now reducing CT production. Even if that's true, then it just means that Tesla is doing the right thing, given the circumstances. They may have over-produced CTs in 2024, but they don't have to repeat the same mistake in 2025.
I wonder how many Foundation series they have total to sell?

Probably only Tesla knows for sure. On April 1, Elektrek claimed that there were nearly 2,400 Cybertrucks in Tesla inventory (with a retail value of approximately $200,000,000). They wouldn't necessarily all be Foundation Series though; that total would also include 2024 and 2025 non-Foundation CTs. But seems like there could still be at least several hundred FS, maybe 1,000+.

Elektrek gets Cybertruck inventory numbers from Tesla-Info, an independent website that apparently has access to the Tesla inventory database. As of right now, Tesla-Info shows 4,291 total Cybertrucks in Tesla inventory, although the number fluctuates constantly. So more CTs have apparently been added to inventory since Elektrek published the April 1 story.

There appear to be relatively few Model Ys in inventory, presumably because this model was just refreshed, and demand is still relatively high.

Doing random searches with different zip codes around the country and it sure looks like a lot.
A great deal for people with a business and commercial clean credit

Keep in mind that the powershare has a limitation on how much it can power. Like it won't power a typical whole house. You most likely would need to only power a circuit or two for just a room or two, like the kitchen (fridge) and something else. It really isn't that great. I never installed mine. Overhyped if you ask me...
??‍♂
I ran my house for days off a 6kW generator.
Powershare is 11.5 kW.
No, it won't run two 20 year old central air conditioners, and the ot tub heater is a waste of energy, but other than that no limitations.

This is me with Hurricane Beryl and my F150 7.2kW generator powering my house. 7.2kw for me is plenty for basic. I was able to power a window AC unit during the day and my master bedroom central AC unit (13 amps) at night…along with live outlets, 2 refrigerators, and lights.

I don’t need Powershare…just use the CT’s bed outlet and plug into my Generac sub panel and i am good to go. :)
