I’m sure there are others which didn’t make the news..
Of course not. Only negative stories about anything Tesla makes the news since only enemies of Musk own all the news channels...

5am could be headed to the gym, early am doesn't always mean substances. As an athlete myself, I can imagine that he is up early and headed to a workout. Certainly, speed appears to be a factor, just based on the impact. Doesn't mean he was on anything. I see so many people nowadays on their phones, looking down etc....
You are correct, it is well documented that he has 5am workouts before school

This is exactly what I have said on this board in the past, and this event just further reinforces it. Just as the bystanders that pulled this kid from the crash said, the laminated windows are nearly impossible to get through in an emergency. The only reason they were able to get in the windows is because they were slightly opened, and even then it took multiple men who were not just in an accident to break it open. I do not know if that was how the driver had them, or if they open in the event of a crash.

I would love if Tesla does some testing and gives some official advice on how to egress from the windows if the doors cannot open/driver is incapacitated.

Do the manual door latches not work after an accident?

Read the family's statement, and once again, a person trapped inside, trying to get out.

That's why I put my windows down when driving over a bridge

Not gonna roast you, but the back end of that car really likes to step out. corvettes are one of the most dangerous vehicles on the road and it has nothing to do with the safety of the car it’s the skill and maturity of the drivers.

I would never do it, but what you choose to do with your child is none of my business.

I’ll tell you this, had I known that my buddy was planning on giving my M3P to his son (my godson) as his first car, I wouldn’t have sold it to him. That’s a fact! And that car is a hell of a lot safer than either my C7 or my C8 just from a crashworthiness standpoint.
