Parental control as implemented now is terrible. It's basically glorified valet mode. Every time it needs to be turned on...it's not tied to the driver. So if you forget to activate it one time the driver is on their own.
AND, valet mode should be limited to 20 mph. But, I would never let a valet near my truck. I am just complaining for those who would. ;)

UPDATE:

USC commit Alijah Arenas has been released from the hospital less than a week after a fiery car crash involving his Telsa Cybertruck that forced him into a brief medically-induced coma, according to TMZ.

Arenas, the son of former NBA superstar Gilbert Arenas, was intubated and placed in a medically-induced coma as doctors treated him for high levels of carbon dioxide ingestion after suffering extreme smoke inhalation when he was temporarily stuck inside his Cybertruck after it went up in flames following a horrific wreck Thursday morning, per TMZ.

Glad to hear it was only CO2 ingestion instead of a traumatic head injury.

Not to mention that in this particular case, there was a ton of water dousing the truck. How much worse might it have been if parts of the trucks weren't continually being wetted?

If I'm ever about to crash, I'm aiming for a fire hydrant

Well, we do now have scientific, real-life, evidentiary data to support this. Nothing is left to speculation, or hypothesis.

I thought parental controls were tied to driver profiles? If not, then yeah, they need to fix that.
Not as near as I can tell but if someone more clever can make it so let me know. But I have tried and failed. I want the car to know when my son is driving he is limited even when I forget.

Didn't Arenas come on his podcast and say the steering failed before the crash?

You don't usually hear people say “I was driving like an idiot and lost control.” which is probably what happened. In every analysis that's been done so far where people have claimed tesla cars accelerates without the accelerator being pushed, its been proven false. I believe this will be the same if investigated.
