Breaking: Light Bar Installs on Hold Confirmed by Tesla

My July appointment has been put on HOLD by Tesla service due to a new revised version coming out. The following message from Tesla Service Center has been confirmed to be correct by my Service Center.

I had mine scheduled for a June install, and confirmed they had the adhesive, but then they contacted me and said they were moving lightbar installs out to August. No news about a redesign, but this was exactly what I was hoping for. Hopefully it will be a better design, mounted to the roof somehow, and not the windshield.

It’s not that I don’t believe you, it’s just our service center says this isn’t true. Can you post a screenshot of the message in the full app? Anyone can create this message and I’d like to see extra proof it came from Tesla.

It would seem that TESLA and not the service center would make that call and notify us by a formal email. Just an odd way to communicate with someone that a product is undergoing modification. I too would be interested in seeing the complete message.

Could this have something to do with with the new adhesive they are applying and a delay of that product? Just interesting because a few posters said they got theirs installed as early as Thursday.

I don't think so, because the SC at first said they didn't know about any hold, but after checking it out for me they responded that it was indeed now on a total hold for a revision.
