This is what forum member sys700 said today 7/8:

"My Tesla service center said they’ll have new parts in August. There is a redesign. Hopefully it has brackets."
All I can say is that I received the notice on 6/25 that the light bar was available for my Foundation series CyberBeast, I scheduled the appointment for yesterday (7/07) and a light bar was installed. Unfortunately another issue with the air suspension kept the truck overnight. Can post more info on what was installed when I do pick up the truck.

Thanks AnxiousInMO for your update. There seems to be inconsistent actions on this by service centers. We will appreciate your sharing what you find out tomorrow and what others experience over the coming days.

See if you can check the part number for what was installed when you get the invoice. Maybe the new part is already out and the first few people are getting the new ones. I actually went into the app to schedule a service appointment (will post separately on that) and noticed that when I got to the part where I list out the issues, it had two pre-populated options for installing the offroad light bar and replacing the sail panels. I did NOT receive any email or in-app message about the light bar.

Same here, got ours installed yesterday. As long as it works, I don't care.
I got mine in June. But as I understand it, they can mostly install it but can’t make it work. Something about traffic laws.

It’s a simple B pillar hook up. Many threads on the connection process.

Is everyone else seeing the same part number for theirs?
The part number shows it starting with V1-Not sure if it means version 1, so maybe a revision will be confirmed in the future that might show V2-for version 2.

Thanks interlinked for your update on your Light Bar installation. It seems that not all service centers are holding off on installations. We will see hopefully soon what the real story is regarding a "new version" that some service centers said will be available in the future.

Same here. Just got my notice today. Install is a month out. Hoping they got this figured out and are sending a bunch of notices to try and get everyone taken care of. Not likely, but I can hope that it is the new process or version.

I had my missing tonneau slat installed earlier this month. The light bar and cantrail were put on the list of services needed by the service center. When I arrived for the slat install, the service manager confirmed that a revised light bar was in the works and that I could wait or have the one they had set aside for me. I decided to wait to see what change was coming. The cantrail parts were not available yet, but these 2 services now remain on my future services needed list.
