yeah, I did the YouTube fix mentioned and since doing months ago, and lots of pouring rain, mine remains almost bone dry after driving thru rain, etc.
I also added a gap shield to the tailgate gap to prevent dirt road dust and it works awesome.
Yesterdays pic after pouring rain.

I'm extremely interested in seeing a video installation of any of this adhesive weatherstripping. Still can't quite figure out what it's attached to and where.

I got the ”extra” slat installed and it solved about 95% of the water problem. Still some drips which I think may be coming from the glass aeroflap interface.
Has anyone tried a bead of clear calk across the outside to cover this interface water leak?

I asked my SC to add the missing slat and they said what I have is within spec and normal. SC tech walked to 2 other CT on the lot and showed me that they all had the missing slat. Meaning they didn't want to do it. So not sure how to convince them otherwise, sad to say....
I also just had my slat installed under warranty with no hassle. Does make a little difference, but still leaks. I will try the rubber

I have watched that video many times. Have any of you all done this? Doesn’t look super easy to hand shape a seal with a blade but is this the definitive answer?
The cybertent specific issue of having to take that aeroflap in and out repeatedly has also been a deterrent for me to try because I use one.

Cat guy sounds funny! My wife is definitely the cat lady. I made this video about a year ago on her YouTube channel because she really didn’t like the water in the bed of her truck and also to help the Cybertruck communiy. Just understand that this is DIY only and in no way will change the way Tesla performs their services on your truck. By the way, we decided to not have the extra slat installed that everyone is talking about because it wouldn’t have helped, the leak was already fixed. By doing this yourself, you will have total control of how waterproof you want your vault to be. Honestly, there are many different products you can use to achieve this. I did this video with simple items that anyone can order online or pick up from your local big box stores. The sealant, I would choose a caulk or silicon and not tape. This process also allows you to easily removed the aero cover later on if needed. I sealed everything up and let it dry overnight before putting the top cover back on, then test the next morning like I did in the video. As for the parts with the factory foam that I reused, you can really use anything you want. The goal was to tighten up the gap in that area as much as possible. Make sure to seal the ends of the new rubber gasket installed in the middle. Take you time with sealing everything around the new rubber gasket using the caulk or silicone, make it look clean, seal the ends and any cuts in the rubber. This should be a permanent solution fix for your leak. It will come out way better than you think. I hope this helps any of you willing to give this a try.

Will be giving this a try and amazed you replied here, just wish I didn’t have to do it myself and SC would have fixed it when they did the slat. I tried to explain it to them and they said they tested it blah blah blah in their notes. That foam is lame.

Thank you. I’ll give it a go. Excellent video. Just wasn’t convinced I myself could do it but if that’s the best option, here I go. Will rise to the task.

What are you referring to?
I posted this video on a YouTube channel dedicated mainly to my wife’s cats. Some people now refer to this DIY vault leak fix video as “the cat guys video”. I’ll roll with that….as long at never leaves this chat.
