Right now, I’m all set to accept delivery. I’ve paid, and my truck is waiting for the pedal fix. Tesla revoked my delivery date due to the pedal issue. That’s how close to delivery it is. I am starting to second guess my decision to get an early model CT. I am about 100 miles from the closest SC and I keep seeing issues on this forum and elsewhere. Would it be possible to get a refund (minus the non-refundable fees) and just drive an X for a few years? I don’t care if I lose my place in line and have to place another order. I am starting to think I would prefer a refund. Sure it would be fun, but I am having a lot of second thoughts.

First year of a new model for any manufacturer usually has the most issues - in this case there are also a lot of new technologies. I’m sure that a 2026 Cybertruck will be more reliable than a 2024 model, so if you’re having doubts just cancel and enjoy a X for a couple years = win-win.

PS lack of nearby service locations is why I have not gotten a Rivian. Well, that and now the company running down to 4-5 quarters of operating cash.

Not sure what raised your ire but math and statistics are what they are. None of us have future facts, all just opinions either based on data or something else.

The refund ask is a question for Tesla me thinks. No one here has any idea.

Let us know what they tell you. I’m curious!

I would think you could since you haven't accepted delivery, which is the last part of the process. Couldn't see why they would change it for the CT. Check in with your SC.

If you're gonna do it, you might want to do it before you get a new delivery date. I saw one in my Tesla SC last night, inside being charged, made me excited all over again and made me want it even more.

If you key in on the handful of negative posts here, the negative non-owners here who post FUD, and CNN and the like, it will appear that there all kinds of issues with the CT, and all Teslas for that matter. It's all nonsense.

If you still want to back out, I believe they will refund you 100% until the point you take delivery, minus the $1000 order fee of course. Send your SA a message and see.

Don't listen to the FUD that the liberal mainstream media is spreading in hopes of getting clicks.

Take delivery of your apocalypse ready Cybertruck and enjoy it!!!
Damn, all this time I thought it was the right wing outlets funded by the Koch brothers to protect their oil empire!!! ???

I can't keep up anymore. :)

Expecting political hand slap and moderation in 3....2....1.......

I agree worth the above statement. If you are looking for advice on the truck, I would carefully weigh the info from those that already have the truck versus those that do not. Depending on the question, of course.

I also live about 2 1/2 hours from the closest service center and the closer I got to my delivery date the more susceptible I was to all the negative crap. The price went up, the range isn’t what it should be, all the problems….

I’ve had my Cybertruck for about one month now have a little over 2300 miles and every single expectation that I had for the truck has been met or exceeded. 1000+ mile road trip, around town, off road, the joy that it brings to others…

It is absolutely an incredible vehicle and experience.

If something in life has changed and you would rather drive a model X by all means get your money back and wait a couple years. For me I am so glad that I got the foundation series and didn’t wait for probably one more year to get a non-foundation series.

Try not to be persuaded by the negative garbage out there. Good luck on your decision, whatever it may be.

I had the same question and yes you can get your final payment back. I hesitated until 5 mins before accepting it. Love it. Buyers remorse: absolutely none. You only read about the negative stuff here, because everyone enjoying the truck don't bother to post! Nicest driving vehicle ever (I have owned MY, M6, M4, etc.)! Nothing negative to say about it, except delivery: they didn't bother cleaning it at all. But it was fun to do myself.

I live over an hour from the nearest Service Center, most people do. Not a big deal for me, since there's very little reason to visit one.
If there were big issues with the vehicle, the boards and social media would be buzzing heavily.

Right now it's just the normal dribble that happens in any product forum. If you were to but a metal rod from a manufacturer, this is about the amount of unrest to expect on a freaking metal rod. IT would be too heavy for some, to light for others, colors wrong, thread wrong, fit and finish wouldn't be perfect, and it, of course it would cost too much.

If you want to cancel, you reply to one of the messages that you got. If financially you don't feel comfortable, then for all means don't stretch yourself.
But if it is function and reliability, so far the vehicle is proving itself quite reliable.
