I’m having this issue and I’m in Canada. The wiper basically barely shoots out washer… I hear it… I see it. But because it shoots while the wiper is still moving (fast) on auto… I feel like the spray of the washer shoots tooo far high and almost flies off of the car due to velocity of the wipers movement. This just ends up the wiper running kind of dry and smudge salt over the windshield and destroying visibility! I really hope there is a fix for this. I’ve made sure to top off my windshield washer fluid too, so it’s definitely not an empty canister issue.

Same issue here... Worked only one day. Then it was weak and barely came out. Causes the wiper to wipe dry glass. It should spray when it's going backwards so allow the liquid time to touch the windshield before it gets wiped. Should be fixable by OTA update.

I believe it’s a continuing issue on most of them. I carry a long handled cleaner with microfiber and clean it well before a road trip. At times if it is not raining,I make a pit stop and clean.

Like everybody else, mine is no longer depositing the liquid with enough spread or lag time to get a good wipe across the top half of the wiper. Having recently driven through heavy snow and ice conditions, this was very noticeable. At least the lower half of the blade is getting good spray coverage, so I could see just fine while driving... however I'd like Tesla to address this so the passenger side is clear as well.

The BAW is definitely one of Tesla's: "it's the best we have for now, so we will need to release and just iterate later on down the road".

But... when one of the most common complaints is a wiper blade, I think we are doing pretty good lol. I just really wish I could deduct $1 from TSLA each time my car decides to randomly dry wipe the windshield without my input. Absolutely infuriating :cautious:

The “hoses “ were disconnected. I pushed them back together and all good.
Right, the washer hose connection to the blade is a a friction fit. I recently replaced the blade and needed to work this fitting.

A loose or kinked hose could certainly cause a loss of washer flow.

No comments that anyone hasn’t said already, but just keeping thread alive. They suck horribly, especially driving in salty winter conditions. You end up with a series of clean lines on the windshield where the sprayers are. I agree, a software update could address most of the issues with this. Spray on the way down, reduce speed and we’ll probably have a good enough system. Really feel the hardware is capable. Just address the algorithm.

Any update on this? Hardly anything comes out and mostly on passenger side. I worry about how it is going to perform in the winter.

Water issue is probably due to the hoses being loose at the blade. Push them together and see if that fixes the issue.
If that is NOT the issue and you have the lines of clearness... hold the spray button until the 3rd wipe and it'll spray on the way down which at least gives the liquid time to soak the windshield.

Something to check if you've replaced your wiper blade is if the hose got kinked afterwards. I replace mine the other day. When pressing the tab and pulling the blade out, it pulls the tube along with it. The tube is held in the wiper arm with some clips. This had pulled all of the slack out of the tube and the clips held it like that. When I attached the new wiper and pushed it back in, the tube was now too long and folded back on itself. To fix it, I needed to reach under the arm and gently pull the tube back through the clips to remove the extra length at the wiper connection.

They did an update around March that greatly improved it. Maybe you've got it and did not realize? Press and hold the washer button. On the third pass, the anemic spray suddenly becomes much more robust until you let go. Haven't had a chance to try it on a windshield full of sticky road salt, but this seemed to do a good job on pollen in the spring.

Mine requires holding of the button for a good 6-8s before adequate fluid come out…means several dry wipes that I’m not fond of.

Get it checked out, mine had a kinked hose, much better now. Also if you hold the wiper button down it will spray on the down and up stroke. But only after a couple wipes, which sucks.

RainX has helped immensely.
