Mine is at the service center today too. I have a handful of little things (identified during delivery), the windshield wiper issue is one of them. I don't anticipate them doing anything, tbh. I logged it so Tesla has data from my service appt.I have an appointment today and will.
You’re right that the summer and winter mixes have different viscosity. Mine is full of summer and it’s still really bad. And the fact that they say it’s the same as the other cyber trucks tracks because they’re all shit.Could Winter washer fluid just have a thicker viscosity fluid than Summer washer fluid, and the washer fluid pump is just that sensitive?
I think I will probably use "My wife's toothbrush" ? to clean all the holes on the wiper arm to see if that helps.
If that didn't do the trick, then I may plug the lower holes a bit on the wiper to see if it improves the upper holes spraying fluid.
May have to come up with a cleaning solution to pump in to & clean a buildup of washer fluid residue that resides in the wiper arm washer fluid supply line itself.
If it warms up a bit, I'd like to drain all the washer fluid out of my reservoir and put warm water into the reservoir to see how the water flow is without the thicker viscosity winter washer fluid.
By the Way, I did just have a service appointment at Tesla with this listed as an issue, and they compared it to the other Tesla cyber trucks on their lot and there was no difference in spray pattern, or amount of spray.
FYI, the 2025.2 firmware that is being rolled out now to Cybertrucks has a change in how the wiper sprays fluid. In short, it sprays both on the down and up swipe. The Cybertruck lead engineer (Wes) said on X that they've been testing it in Canada and it's worked well. This wiper issue is the only thing holding me back. Otherwise I'd buy with the current price and incentives. Really hoping Tesla finds a solution for this. Our local Facebook group in Quebec is full of people with the same issue.
