Windshield wiper/fluid not covering or cleaning evenly

ok, good to see it wasn't my fault for using rainx. I'll probably switch to something else when I refill and keep the rainx for our other Teslas. Hopefully that will be about when Tesla will do a hardware fix.

Fun fact about RainX. If you get chips in the shield and want them corrected, that RainX makes it a royal PIA for the correction. It must be completely gone from the chip. I quit using it as in Colorado I am doing chip correction at least once a year. Not worth the trouble.

I tried rainex , don't bother , the orafice holes at the end of the blade need to be larger or the timing of the spray needs to be inverted, spray on the down stroke and wipe on the upstroke. This will give the washer fluid time to spread out. Hopefully software update can fix it.

Agree. Tried to see if it is spraying on the down stroke and it isn’t. That may be a game changer.

The problem with spaying on the downstroke is that it's behind the direction of travel, so the windshield will be momentarily obscured. However, they could start the spray a little early, say on the last 2-3 inches of travel, so that the blade is "primed" with extra fluid ?‍

I also had streaking problems with RainX. The cheap blue methanol solution works fine!

We have this issue too.
I have seen suggestions that this issue is common with people using RainX washer fluid.

What washer fluid is everyone using and how does this correlate to the issue?

I filled with RainX a couple of weeks ago, but in Colorado snow I will probably need to fill again within a month.

Me Too, same issue for me here in the salt belt. Maybe that's also why I turn OFF the wiper and it keeps turning itself back on and dry wiping the windshield, very annoying.

Wiper ghost in my truck too , leaves the wiper down at the bottom just to annoy me also.

After delivery had the same issue. When service the tech needed to tighten the bolt on the wiper arm and make an adjustment so the pressure was equally on the passenger side. You may need service.

Which bolt ?! Tell us !! Pics ?!

Less than ideal application of fluid and squeegee. On the drivers side it’s adequate. On the passenger side however, the tension to the glass is lacking. Also the amount of fluid applied isn’t enough to fully clean the window. Maybe 1/2 which is needed.

Same here. I had to stop by a gas station and use their windshield clean bucket by the pump to clean the windshield.
