Hate being so cynical. That said, I will enjoy hearing how great the update is from all other tesla model owners is. CyberTruck feels like an abandoned publicity stunt. Love Mine but unhappy with the continued support.

I’m not holding my breath. Not only is Elon notoriously bad at this kind of thing (and tends to address his timing to the Illuminati) but the Cybertruck FSD update is already 5 months tardy. That said, I’ll be as happy as anyone if it happens.
Yeah im hoping V14 comes at the christmas update. sooner than that seems less likely.

but fsd does 99% of my drives now. So until V14 comes I can live with what I have now.

I am doing nothing wrong unless you consider glancing at the middle screen to attend to the basic vehicle functions to be doing something wrong. I do NOT look at my phone while driving, contrary to REM's spurious allegations.
Obviously, you are doing it wrong. I can glance at the center screen to attend to basic vehicle functions without getting a nag, because I know not to look away from the road for too long. But, yeah, if you lollygag around while trying to accomplish whatever you think you need to do, without looking up to check for traffic, you will get a nag. That's what it's supposed to do. Tesla puts safety ahead of your assumed right to FAFO.

If you haven't learned how to use the vehicles functions without getting a nag, that's on you. I have no idea what your problem is.

I have to +1 on that. I have gotten nags in the past but I always deserved them. I haven’t gotten one in a long time now. Either Tesla changed or I adapted :)

‘Glancing’ doesn’t produce a nag. Maybe you should have a 3rd party time your glances. Oh, I guess that would be Tesla.

Complete rot. You can be driving perfectly safely, eyes attentive, and get nags. Plenty of nags. In fact the Tesla FSD system is sometimes self-defeating - it will give you a strike for NOT looking away from the road to see its blue warning flash despite paying attention. It is inconsistent in how it decides to apply the warning - and MAKES you look away to see the warning. My wife's FSD is slightly better in this respect (Juniper MY) because we installed the S3XY button feature that flashes the car's ambient LED strips, so get a bit more warning when it is being snippy.
That's not entirely accurate... I've had mine for a year and have received zero strikes. I don't just look ahead, either. I look at all the things I'm going past in my 42 miles each-way commute. I don't use FSD every day but it does fine when I use it and almost never nags me. Sure, if I'm staring off at the deer while driving along, I'll get the flashing blue screen. But, nags are very rare.

I just remembered. Once, I was driving along on FSD and it was really raining hard. Suddenly, the rain really started pounding down and visibility went to shit. The screen suddenly, just out of nowhere, started flashing red and TAKE OVER IMMEDIATELY!

Scared the crap out of me. I don't get many notifications about paying attention and NEVER the red screen. Kinda go PTSD now... Not really, but just typing this out took me back to that day. LOL

It's been interesting reading through this series of posts and makes me remember that my experience isn't necessarily everyone's experience. I've been (apparently) very lucky in not having any issues with my truck or FSD or running over curbs or... Oh, wait, Fluffy did try driving on the wrong side of the road a few times in the same location. Oh, and my light bar "It's time to schedule your lightbar install" and then "We don't have the parts to install your lightbar"

Says Elon:

The FSD release in about 6 weeks will be a dramatic gain with a 10X higher parameter count and many other improvements. It’s going through training & testing now.

Once we confirm real-world safety of FSD 14, which we think will be amazing, the car will nag you much less.

For what it is worth ... my hand-picked investigators at GROK report that there is only a 30 percent chance that we Cybertruck owners will get FSD 14 at the same time as other Tesla HW4 vehicles get it. The reason is the usual ... the Cybertruck requires its own tested build ... and insofar as demand ... we CT owners are in a BIG TIME minority.

That's what makes us Cybertruck owners BIG TIME special!

If either my wife or I absolutely need the latest and greatest version of FSD, we have three other Tesla to chose from. Just know that the FSD in Cybertruck is worlds better the latest and greatest from any other manufacturer. It works on all roads and it's smoother, more predictable, safer and avoids accidents better.

I get the red hands of death when its raining very hard or sometimes when the sun is directly on the front camera. It happens. Its nothing to be afraid of. Just take over like it says.

It isn't simply a me problem - it is how the truck works - at least mine. I have been using FSD since it first arrived, and AP from the day it was first downloaded to our cars in 2015. My knowledge of this system and its prior versions precedes the existence of any nag on ANY Tesla (it was added a few months after a few nimrods posted videos riding in the back seat with no one in the driver seat). You can attempt transference all you want, but I have nearly 1 million miles driving Teslas since 2012, find the "user error" responses are often correct when people describe issues with these or any car, but it simply isn't so in this situation - and no, I've never lost FSD privileges due to inattention - but I do get nags for NO reason, when fully alert, eyes ahead. Every day, at least when not towing, when it won't work at all.

Oh, I know. Just startled me. I never have issues that require a take over.

I've got both FSD and Toyota Sense 2.0 and I can confirm Toyota doesn't nag. Especially when it shuts off in the middle of a sharper than gentle turn on the highway. No nagging. Kind of frightening, but not in a nagging kind of way.
