If you have a Foundation series truck with outlets in the bed you probably don't necessarily need it, but even if you do, it will give you the ability to have a separate set of outlets further away from the truck via the mobile connector and its cord length. Of course, you could just plug an extension cord into the bed of the truck but then that means carrying that cord with you all the time which some might find a hassle. The other proposition is that it would give you the ability to power something with the vault closed without needing to run a cord out from the vault in some way. I don't necessarily think this is a showstopper either as that even with the vault closed I bet the rubber seal at the back would allow an extension cord to be run through it.

There might be a "cool" factor to it, such as "Hey look what I can do!"

Yeah. It’s kinda cool I guess but as you say the extension cord would provide much of the same function. You do have to carry it but you also have to carry this $80 gem.
for the RWD, crucial. For us meh….

I've been using it a bunch. I have Powershare at home so the dual outlet adapter lives on the Mobile Connector
When I need to power test equipment, I pop the tailgate, pull out the cord, plug it in and run it to my gear. Super handy and avoids needing to mess with the cover (where the gear often is) or fully drop the tailgate to access the outlets (bike rack attached) .
Added bonus is that you don't need to use the center screen or app to turn it on.

Tesla has released a Cybertruck Powershare Outlet Adapter for $80.

"Allows you to power electronic devices using Mobile Connector and your Powershare-equipped vehicle's battery. You can then use this adapter to plug in any compatible electronic device you want to power."

Is it actually available to purchase now? Or are you just sharing a social media post?

Ok mongo. Just ordered one. We’ve known each other long enough now that if you say it’s useful, I know it’s useful.

Nothing good.
No other Tesla has AC output (that we know of).
Will probably give a charge connector not powered error, same as having a Mibile Connector that isn't plugged in to the wall.

Kid: "Hey Dad! Look at that...isn't that cool!"

Father: "Oh yeah that is cool! Plugs on a chord away from the truck!"

Kid: "No Dad, I meant the M46 chaingun mounted in the bed..."

Father: "Oh...hmmm, oh yeah, I guess that is cool too. I didn't even notice it as I was staring at the fancy extension chord..."
