Wouldn't relocating the camera require a software recalibration that isn't going to happen?
I’m told not. @Urander posted a link for a guy on x that just moved it to the top of his bed cap and apparently it can just figure it out.

Looks good, suggest switching out the two locations.

You would access the clothes more than a tire.

Good looks too…

How come they don't make a big ass donut (we could call it BAD) for the Cybertruck instead of a full size spare? I know they have them for other models. Sure it's not ideal, but I can't see why it wouldn't work to get you to safety and be a lot easier to store. Unless it's not possible due to the weight or something?

Good question. One that fits in the smugglers bay.
I support the BAD. I’d consider buying it.
Even if it was made of solid rubber.

Do you mean with camera relocation? Or just by putting this thing on?

Yeah. But that would make removal necessary to open the cyber tent. I’ve looked at them before. Better, but not ideal for my situation.
I like my s92 but for $2k I want an actual solution that keeps the factory rear view camera abilities. Even if it’s a relocation kit

Did you guys see the video of the guy who got saved by FSD avoiding a rear end collision?
https://www.cybertruckownersclub.com/forum/threads/close-call-thanks-fsd.47905/
That’s not possible no matter what anyone says with jerry-rigged aftermarket shit sold by the same type of people who bring you fake carbon fiber cup holders and personal fans. You know, the type of people who rely on “reviewers” that dm a stranger in china for an opportunity to enter a raffle maybe resulting in a handout.
Excuse me if I find it hard to believe rigorous safety standards are being applied to this type of equipment.
The s92 by Tesstudio helps me see and I love it as an accessory, but I also need optimus to see. That’s part of what makes our cars special and I’m not paying that much money just to damage that ability.
I’m sorry, but for $2k, they can come up with a reliable extension cable and a mount. Maybe a plug for the old hole and a calibration procedure.
Weak sauce.
I can figure out what to do with my license plate myself thank you very much.

2k is way too much, and there is no camera fix for it. I would do the top mount for $400 and call it a day.

FSD would not work with this. If the back camera is blocked, the truck doesn't allow FSD.

I remember that post vividly. And we never did get independent confirmation that the relocation worked. I'd like to believe that the AI can reorient itself this far from the OEM location, but it seems too good to be true. I'd really like to see more evidence.

If it can be done, that's a big statement about what the AI is capable of.
