I first used the plugs in the bed of the truck because I was running a wood planer in my garage, and my garage was only wired for 110v/15amp and kept popping the breaker.

Plugging into the truck, with its 110v/20amp power source, it ran flawlessly for well over an hour, and only consumed ONE percent of the battery. I made a video about it as an aspiring youtuber if interested! I've been using my truck around my property for a lot of unexpected things, so I plan to make more vids showcasing its utility.

Since this, I've also used the 220v plug do do some welding, and I cannot believe how little these high-draw power tools use compared to the power consumption while driving. Goes to show how much juice the battery actually holds, and the insane amount of power delivery when actually driving.

The truck is capable of powering an entire house for a few days. Amazing power. For the love of god tho get a dust collection bag on that planer.

 Dust collection bags are like $400-500 bucks though! I'd rather just blast it outside... Nah you're right though. I still hand to do a lot of cleanup.

I'd really like to get home backup power set up with it. But from what I've seen its like $7-8k for a proper install? Hard to justify the cost/benefit for me. Especially if I could run an extension cord to keep the fridge cold or something in a pinch.

PowerShare installation costs vary significantly by region and your specific setup. I'm near Atlanta and had the PowerShare Gateway installed last summer for $3650, which also included the installation of a Universal Wall Charger.

Pretty sure you can buy an adapter for it that will go right up to a shop vac... If not flexible duct and a hose clamp are your friends - right into your garden for free mulch.

People have been getting estimates all over the place for the power share setup. I guess it depends on the installer. If you're fine with an extension cord and a few items during a power out situation then that's all you need. I opted not to do it even though the equipment and 4k of install was included with my FS. I already have a natural gas generator plumbed into the house so I didn't think I'd need it.

Looking forward to future videos. It's pretty difficult to break into the YouTube market and I don't know all the tricks for getting more views but there is so much content out there it's difficult to break into the spot where many will even see your videos.

One tip going forward:

Put your multimeter on the Cybertrucks AC outlets. You will find they are not 110V and 220V nominal, they are 120V and 240V. America hasn't had 110V and 220V for many decades. If you want to make YouTube content, always say what you mean.

Even people with electric cars just underestimate how much energy is in them!

A Cybertruck when full, contains as much energy as the average American household uses in four full days. Even if you maxed that single 20a outlet, that's 48 hours before it ran dry. That's like running a space heater at full blast for over three days.

It's awesome seeing people realize this ^-^

400Wh/mile @ 60 MPH is 24 kW.
That's 100 amps at 240V or 200 amps at 120V.

In practice it's awesome but not quite that awesome. I had the experience of running the fridge, a fan and some LED lights for a few days when we had the tornado back in May. The problem is that the truck loses a lot just being awake and running the inverter.

Oh, also my laptop and phone, but still not a heavy load.

I wish companies like DeWalt would notice the use cases for CT onboard power and have some tool advertising regarding it. Maybe DeWalt could show a little love your way and get you that dust bag system. I'm interested in the scrap wood wall in the background, looked nice from what I could see.

At my condominium (built 2008), my EV charger plug is a 208Y circuit drop. [i.e. 208V, from a 3-phase system where L1 and L2 are 120 degrees separated. Not everyone has a split-phase 240 residential ckt.]

DeWalt makes a ton of money though selling cordless power tools and lots of expensive batteries.

The truck is 120/240 though (at least in North America).
Right. Got that part. I was referring more to the "America hasn't had 110 or 220 for decades" part. Certainly plenty out there have their EV charger at 208V like mine (and yes, I measured it). And if they do, aint nothing wrong with their port and it doesn't mean it's "decades" old. If you're tapped off a three phase Y, that's what you get.

I'm well aware of 3-phase commercial power in the US. That's 208V and 120V. What does that have to do with the fact that we stopped using 110V and 220V many decades ago? If anything, the existence of 3-phase commercial power is all the more reason to accurately cite 120V and 240V to clearly denote what you are talking about.
