They're really saying "last year we had a real asshole make a stink over something stupid, and this year we just don't want the hassle"

🤷‍♂️
Maybe, I dunno, but someone trying to make a political statement, say flying a candidate's flag is quite a bit different that portraying a video game.

You have a giant gun in the bed of your truck. You have to realize that's not for everyone, right?
Halo may not be for everyone, they might be Nintendo owners and want Mario Kart instead...

If it was me, I would park my truck in the nearest public parking space to the event and just hang out. People will come and check out your artwork.

Let the sissies sulk in their own filth.
This is my current favored course of action, especially if other Cybertruck owners are willing to join me. :)

Doesn't the US practice freedom of speech and expression? As long as @TeslaKen isn't promoting violence then it should be fine. It's just a prop, if people don't like it they can just look at the other 49 vehicles there.
Well yes, those are guaranteed in the Constitution as per actions of the government, but this isn't the government, it is an individual acting on behalf of an organization that is holding "informational" events. In other words as long as you only listen to THEIR information everything is fine, but if you say or do something different, then it isn't. So sad that those who claim to support free speech rarely ever do...

The government cannot stifle freedom of speech. A private event can do whatever they want in terms of controlling the messages displayed.

If they wanted to, the National Automobile Dealers Association could hold an event and make the rule that anyone suggesting that service departments shouldn't charge for procedures not performed be excluded. Or any mention of Tesla would have you removed. Or anyone suggesting that EVs were more economical than gas cars be kicked out.

It's only the government that cannot step on your right of free expression.
This is correct! I am not certain how much control the event organizers have over the location, in other words did they get a permit from the city to block off areas to hold a private event or are they holding an event on public land where any other member of the public has as much right to be there? Regardless of which it is, nothing stops me from parking next to their event and holding my own event, one man show or any others willing to show up in support. :)

If you really want to go, just take it out. Seems like you're being a bit dramatic about it. It's only a car show.
Agreed it is only a car show, but most car shows around here are 99.9% gas cars with maybe a couple of EVs at best, this is a dedicated EV show and the largest in the area from what I can ascertain. Does that matter? It does if people are interested in Cybertrucks and want to see what you can potentially do with them. I don't want to support a bunch of car show "Nazis" as one person called them on discord, so if I go at all, it will be to go next to their show and set up with other Cybertrucks and answer questions about Cybertrucks, (or Halo) and hand out some 3D printed cyber whistles that I've made for kids that might be at the show.

Supposedly they like Cybertrucks and one was at their event last year (I know the owner), but they don't like the weapon system. They are OK with me parking it without the weapon system set up, but do you know what happens the moment I do that? I get question after question about "Where is the .50 cal?" "Where is the rocket launcher?" etc. etc. anyone who knows the game knows that there is a weapon of some sort in the back. They say things like "it would be a lot cooler with a weapon in the back" then what do I say? Go see the organizers who are being dicks? :) As my analogy above it would be like dressing up as Thor but you cannot bring the hammer, the look is incomplete without the Gauss cannon in back IMHO. Heck the wedding reception I did recently they wanted the weapon system in the back so I set it up. The wedding guests didn't break down into discussions about cultural militarization...
Of course you are going to get questions about the cannon it's an integral part of the vehicle and game. You could always make the counter argument that not having the cannon might bring up a very heated cultural discussion about stifling the first amendment of the constitution and in some weird way the second amendment as well, even though were talking about a fictional toy cannon from a video game.

I'll let the lawyers here take this one, but...

Tesla Cybertruck Cybertruck Discrimination - Need your help! [LOCKED DUE TO POLITICS] {filename}

U.S. citizens have a strong legal presumption of access to public spaces. It's not absolute, but if in general the public is allowed to access the space, you can't restrict individuals for what is effectively speech.

Sure, but this is an event, presumably with a permit. If the permit holder can set the terms, then they can restrict entry to the participants. Keeping out spectators for an undesirable t-shirt would be crossing a line, but someone preaching on a soapbox could be removed for "disturbing the peace".

Your "rights" are only as good as the gatekeeper says they are. You can sue, but you can't just force your way in "because 'Merica!"

The sneaky way would be to hide the cannon and then install it once parked. Then they would have to make a scene to get you to leave, hahahaha

I think it would be better if yours was the only Cybertruck parked outside. It makes it more rare.

Put a dildo canon on it and it will probably be okay.
Especially if the stated purpose of the dildo canon was to help undocumented transgender aliens of color unite!

Then they couldn't deny you! 🤪
