Do you turn on “slippery surface” when driving in the rain?

Hard to answer because I still don’t fully understand what it does. Reading the range of explanations just in this thread makes me confused.
It was actually very scary the first time driving on snow/ice. I had to navigate the menu and find the F’ing button all while not letting up on the accelerator b/c regen would have me slide out. Hopefully an update has happened since then to engage in the background but the CT doesn’t have my 100% confidence in snow without manually engaging the button.

Anyone know if it’s bad to drive with it on with non-slippery roads?
I drive mountain roads where it will be dry then in shaded corners it can be ice/snow then back to dry.

Last year I had to engage and disengage the slippery roads during these intermittent conditions. If not engaged regen braking would have me spin out. Not clear if if I can drive on dry roads with it engaged.
It should be fine, only downside will be higher Wh/mile.
Locking the differentials, on the other hand, can damage things if done on dry pavement.

My first time was on a hill a few days after getting the CT. No fun.

Are you getting the Nokian Outpost nATs? I put those on 2 weeks ago and we ended up getting a foot of snow last weekend and it made the world of difference compared to the OEM ATs. I'm very happy with them as they are very sure-footed and it helped with my confidence in letting FSD 14.2.1 run on it's own a bit. Still trying to figure out range hit given weather sharply changed just after getting them on so comps are a bit hard but suspect 5-10% impact.
Yep I got the nATs in stock size on Tsportline steel wheels. Very happy to hear that you are liking them.
