Cool but where's my PowerShare for Powerwall owners....
Right!!!!!!
They got time to deal with other projects that weren't promised at release, but don't bother to finish what they claimed they would produce.

It doesn’t work for me with solar/generator either. So who DOES it work for?

Can someone please explain this to me. I’m lost..our cars don’t generate enough electricity on their own like solar panels. So the Cybertruck is going to feed its own electricity to the grid and then what? We still have to replenish the battery. Am I missing something here?

I wonder what the compensation for this will be. Not sure who would be willing to put extra cycles on their battery at the expense of degradation and decreased battery longevity for pennies of compensation.

Supposedly you fill up your battery at off peak rates/times , then sell back to the grid when the power is worth more. Sounds good if you’re not actually driving that day.

I doubt it will use all of the energy in the pack- it’s likely limited to 10-25% of the battery. But the reality is that the CT battery is gigantic in terms of capacity. The part that doesn't make sense to me is that batteries have a limited cycle count. I doubt these added cycles will be compensated at a rate that would allow for battery replacement in 9 years of use. I also do not thing T would warranty batteries that fail early that were used for v2g or high volume power share. who would sacrifice their precious battery like that?

Related, why don’t they sell power share without the wall connector? I have one already and don’t want to double pay.

You bought a Universal Wall Connector before your Cybertruck ? (surprised because that was a small time window)

This is the same basic functionality needed for Powerwall compatibility, but is easier/safer for Tesla to test with since the capacity of a functional grid is effectively infinite compared to the truck.

This may be a real world validation step on the road to compatibility with a single Powerwall sized system.

Around the same time. This is back in the early FS days. I couldn’t find an installer by me at the time so I used my voucher on a UWC and other stuff instead of PowerShare

I do not get the point of this as you will have to charge the CT back up be it 10-25% used to go back to the grid.

So not sure it is worth the time/trouble for what you may get from the grid operator and then have to pay to charge your CT back up. I guess if you got unlimited free super charging or a solar grid it may be worth it but then again unless it is really pays decent it may not be worth the trouble to do this much. Also does not the batteries degrade even a tiny bit on the charge cycles? I know it may be small but over time that may add up in a few years if you were to do this alot.

I totally get using the CT as a backup power source in a power outage and that is good and can be very useful.
