Has anyone gotten a Lightbar with the new brackets installed at a SC yet?

So as an update to my prior post about my OTC parts order missing the metal pads... it looks like I'm not going to be able to get them as Tesla has put them on restriction pending a whole new mounting process that's yet to be finalized (per chat with my SA - see below):

Tesla Cybertruck Recall bulletin SB-25-90-001 Off Road Lightbar fix - new version with bracket 1770686119480-o3

I asked if they had a new service bulletin that I could use to order the new parts, and that is not available at this time. I let them know I'd hold on to the parts until there was a clear path to both a new mounting solution and an installation procedure.

Is the pad needed sorry if you haven’t made it back to the service center yet. I got a lightbar for a pretty good deal on eBay brand new. Wondered if it’s worth going and figuring out this whole mount ordeal or just to cnc my own on my carvera desktop mill.
See my post right above... it looks like getting the parts now is going to be difficult, if not impossible. I think CNC'ing your own is the best way to go at this point.

I don't have a mill, so if you do go that route, would you make a set of pads for me? I'm happy to pay you for the effort.

Knowing the news now about the parts not being availalbe pending another set of parts/process, I was considering making my own and 3D printing a set, but a milled solution would definitely be preferrable.

Sad to hear, coincidently I had to ship my carvera air to have serviced but should have it back next week. I also just got a brand new OEM lightbar off eBay to work on this effort. Will mock up some 3d prints and get to work on it. If it works well I’ll absolutely get you pads. Hopefully though in the meantime Tesla figures out the new method.

I really do appreciate that - thank you!

In the meantime, I'll check in with my SA every week or so to see if there's anything that can be shared on the new install process or parts.

Until that presents itself, I'm inclined to complete the parts collection and install via the currently-documented method.

Do you need my brackets to model off of?

Yeah if you could send a pic with the brackets next to a ruler or tape measure that would be awesome. I have a 3D scanner and have yet to look in the ends of my lightbar but planned on scanning what’s there and going off of that. I did ask the SC near me if they could order the mounts off your post. They said they would so we’ll see if they give me a ring or if they couldn’t.

Tesla Cybertruck Recall bulletin SB-25-90-001 Off Road Lightbar fix - new version with bracket Captur

Trace the bracket.. A few youtubes show this... Then mail him the tracing.

I'm probably going to do some things we did on aircraft and just use alternate adhesives and surface prep.

For those of us who were waiting for the brackets - I'd be happy to 3D model these if someone is able to get a few measurements. I have a printer and the beast bar installed, so I could do a little prototyping to make sure it fit before finalizing the design.

If we can get this done I can put the final design on Thingiverse, then anyone could get it commissioned in metal by a company like PCBWay. Also it'd be pretty straightforward to model a "pad" that fits over the bracket. Print it in a suitable filament or resin and hit it with some gloss black, good to go. Thoughts? @EightBitWhit would you be game?

That would be amazing. Thank you

There's also the option to use SendCutSend. Great US based shop with some of the best pricing/shipping times. They're my default for any sheet metal designs now, though you do just have to make sure you match their design guide's K-Factor and Inner Radius values. You can even make a part and put it up on their marketplace for others to buy:

A bracket that uses VHB tape to attach to the inside of the cantrail then between it and the bar would work.

I used VHB max all over the center of the bar then used the betaseal around the edge.

The max was stuck as F the moment I pushed down on it.

I found the service bulletin and second thought installing mine that way (I don’t think drilling the hole for the tap makes sense). I’m shifting gears and think I have a new mount designed that uses existing appliqué mounts. I should have ABS version testing done Tuesday.
