yeah I don't like the wheels at all. I mean they roll but that's it haha

I would run them some then buy the Cyber wheels. I like the cyber wheels with the aero cover. For some reason Tesla is only selling the winter tire package I guess cause most of the country is in snow? Maybe summer they will sell the regular tires.

I personally like the 18s. Buy an aftermarket center cap.

This is what made me pull the trigger on the $60K. I've been following the used prices for the past year and half.
I have been tracking used CT prices for a while now they are really holding their value. Limited demand and production created that situation. The only ones I have seen under $60K were salvage title. What could possibly go wrong there ...

In any case my impatient nature and a $2250 cancellation fee for the "Premium" model that had only become premium 36 hours after I placed my order.on 02/05, made me keep the reservation. It'll be here soon and since my "plan" clearly states " this will be my last vehicle purchase" (wife rolls her eyes), I wanted all the good stuff. As for the Cyberbeast which I drove, I never want to drive anything that does 0-60 in 2.5 seconds and weighs 7K lbs. The 4.7 of my Model Y DM is stupid fast and the DM Cybertruck at 4.1 is really stupid fast. As Forrest Gump's momma said, "stupid is as stupid does". :)

yes, I am in nj and the used CT prices are holding strong.... this 60k one is going to bring buyers in like me.... and I know the internet is a cesspool, but it is a sad commentary on mankind that people attack, berate, and make vulgar statements about others based on vehicle choice from a keyboard ... insecure and unhappy about themselves.... and that is me being polite.... God bless everyone driving the Cybertruck

Yeah, not happening. They are pivoting from being a vehicle manufacturer to being a robot manufacturer.

When I try and order using my original reservation on my existing Tesla account, the $1000 referral/loyalty discount does not show. Am I missing something?

For me, it didn't show until after I placed my order. There was not a place for me to enter any information regarding the loyalty benefit. I believe the system detects it on the backend that you/we are previous owners and automatically applies it.

I was able to stack the loyalty discount with the first responder.

This is 100% the trim to get, and if I was buying today, this would be my order. Losing the air suspension is the biggest thing, but odds are high this will have a lower failure rate and simply be easier to service. The cut to towing rating has to be with the suspension. Sound system would be second to me, but I'm probably in a minority. For a 20k difference, the cuts are pretty minor (unless you tow heavy loads).

As for the 10 day thing, Elon says a lot of things. IMO this is clearly a market test. I'd say odds are fairly high that if the demand is there (and it looks like it is), that this trim stays around. It just might be at a higher price Like 63-65k. If the demand is through the roof, maybe there is enough to stick at this price... but it would likely have to be a very large increase in volume. Probably double or triple current production to spread out the costs. My bet is we will see slight price increase in March, and then they will fluctuate a bit based on the order flow. Try to get the line running at a 75k per year rate and maintain it. If that can be maintained, then they can work out other ways to fully utilize the platform (would increase the chances of a SUV and a new RWD model). If it can't be maintained, they likely keep the Cybertruck niche until they want to utilize the production space for something else.

Update:

This price may possibly last for only 10 days according to Elon Musk??

Differences in the new $59,990 dual-motor AWD Cybertruck trim vs. the $79,990 Premium AWD trim:

• 7,500 lb towing capacity (11k lbs on Premium trim)
• 2,006 lbs payload (down from 2,500 lbs)
• Coil spring suspension with adaptive damping (vs air suspension)
• 18" wheels (instead of 20")
• Textile seats (vs premium interior)
• Heated front seats only (no ventilation)
• 7-speaker sound system (instead of 15-speaker premium system)
• No 9.4" second-row display
• No two 120V cabin power outlets
• Bed with motorized tonneau cover (instead of the Vault bed)
• Standard bed and tail lamps instead of premium lighting
• No L-track cargo rails
lol @ that POS offering!

Tesla should just announce "We are the Temu of EV Mfg's", who could barely provide premium offerings but now that they have given up on trying, cheap EV's it is!

I am finding I am losing interest in Tesla very quickly and admittedly dropping MS/MX helped with that! Outside of the CT they make nothing I am interested in so it was a good run Tesla!
