Just placed my order!
Coming from a Jeep Gladiator, gonna be a little different. šŸ˜‚ Was actually on the list for a Scout Terra but with the new delay I decided to jump on this deal.
Hey same here a rubicon. 500lbs more towing isn’t a deal breaker but it’s nice.

lol @ that POS offering!

Tesla should just announce "We are the Temu of EV Mfg's", who could barely provide premium offerings but now that they have given up on trying, cheap EV's it is!

I am finding I am losing interest in Tesla very quickly and admittedly dropping MS/MX helped with that! Outside of the CT they make nothing I am interested in so it was a good run Tesla!

Whatever ... I do not think that AI5 is going to have an appreciable impact on our trucks. If Tesla can deliver unsupervised FSD on AI4 then all will be fine. Except for some annoying foobars I think that FSD works pretty well now. Why do you think that AI5 is worth waiting for?
Because I already have one cybertruck and can't justify a second one yet unless something new and different. My arbitrary feature to try and help me not lose my mind and buy another one is AI5. Everything else you said might be 100% true....but I need to keep myself from buying another Tesla.

November 22, 2019 reservation holder here. I placed my $59,990 order as soon as I read the news. I had to read the MSRP and specifications 2X to make sure I wasn’t dreaming as I had just woken up.

My gut told me that a lower priced CT trim would be coming in 2026 and it was right on the money.

I also received the $1k sales incentive bringing the price down to $58,990.

Being patient finally paid off. Cybertruck sales are about to jump thanks to this new price point.

The only negative is that the website says June availability. It going to be a long 12-14 week wait.

Since you've been an early reservation holder since 2019, why wasn't your $100 pre-order fee applied to your order?

That’s understandable. We don’t really know if the Cybertruck will live to see AI5 though. I would assume it will.

The CT will very likely live to AI5, but the odds of it being a priority to upgrade to AI5 are likely very low. AI5 will hit the road in ~16 months and the priority for that rollout will be Robotaxi and Y. Tesla will want the training data and the impact there because those are the models that will be the key to their autonomy plans. While autonomous CTs would be neat, it doesn't make a whole lot of fiscal sense to have them make up a part of the fleet, take the training resources, and overall distract from where the money making core of the company is going to be. At least until RC and Y are in high volumes as robotaxis across the US, which even the most aggressive timelines have it past 16 months.

IMO AI5 will be out months or even more than a year before it moves over to CT. Decent possibility that they skip it entirely in the CT to use up the last of AI4 stock and keep engineering costs down. Move on to AI6/7 when it is time to update.

This is 100% the trim to get, and if I was buying today, this would be my order. Losing the air suspension is the biggest thing, but odds are high this will have a lower failure rate and simply be easier to service. The cut to towing rating has to be with the suspension. Sound system would be second to me, but I'm probably in a minority. For a 20k difference, the cuts are pretty minor (unless you tow heavy loads).
same, would really like the better stereo. Is this the same as the rwd stereo and if so, how is it?

I requested refunds on all 3 of my 2019 Cybertruck reservations after the $70k RWD was offered. I figured the price point was never going to come down after that trim.
