Just took my first demo drive in the CT today. All I gotta say is, I didn't want to bring it back to the dealer! Wow!!!!!!! This sealed the deal if there was any doubt. Already had an order placed, but felt it necessary to see what my 60k was buying me. As a current Jeep Gladiator owner this thing is incredible and checks all the boxes of why I wanted a change of vehicle.

Side note - drove prob 20mins in Chill mode then decided to try out Sport! Yikes! Also the FSD is incredible, I can see this being great for road trips, etc.
Same. I went to the Tesla Show Room on Monday. As I already own a Model 3, I’m pretty familiar with how a Tesla operates.

Main concern was how it drives. Is it heavy and bulky? Does it drive sloppy like a conventional 1/2 ton truck?

I was pleasantly surprised and impressed how solid and nimble it felt on the road. 30 min test drive that went by before I knew it. Took it on twisty mtn roads nearby and even a little bit of dirt. Fit n finish was excellent. Quality materials. Egress, usability all great.

Anyway, placed the order this morning. Now the wait begins.

!00% Agree. It definitely does not drive how heavy it looks. I did a U in a tight parking lot that blew my mind.

That’s what sealed the deal for me a year ago….I love wranglers and gladiators but CT makes them feel like Fred Flinstone….although I do have a JK that I enjoy driving at times

If you love Tesla but hate that they all pretty much look the same then CT is the only way to go. Nothing at all looks like a CT even other Teslas.
Same with the driving experience. I had a loaner X, and missed steer-by-wire.

I like the look of all Teslas, but the CT is the only one my wife likes. She likes bold styling.

I wish my wife liked it. I offered a new Y a year ago, or a 2015 Odyssey with 130k miles and she chose the Odyssey. Again I offered this CT as her daily, and she opts for ten year old high mileage Odyssey. SMH

She's really against the CT design, and refuses to get into an EV because she says she'll "forget to plug it" in or something. Meanwhile I had to drive her van today because I was getting a software update on my Sierra EV and didn't realize we were driving on fumes because she hadn't had a chance to refuel and I'm not used to checking the fuel gauge anymore, at least not unless I'm not out of town on my projects.

At least she's saving me money.

Funny, my wife was really against the CT and then I got it and she initially didn’t want to drive it (I was fine with that as it was my DD), then she needed it for getting some plants/shrubs and thats all it took….I ended up having to wrench it away from her and she still wants to drive it…..the self driving really sold her on it……ironically if it had 6 seats we would have 2 because she prefers the CT now over the escalade but we often carpool and need seating for 6……I was hoping a used model x would work and tried that for a bit but she hated it.

I've actually read of this happening fairly often across different forums. Honestly, part of the reason for my "Short-term ownerships" thread on this forum, was because I was thinking of having parked at the house so she might end up driving it and liking it. However, it might backfire because she could get mad that I didn't just buy her a new Odyssey for the same price.

She's just a perfect candidate for it too because she's always mistreating her vehicles. I'm always finding new scratches and curb rashes. CT is perfect for her, she can beat it up all she wants and it will take it.

Anyway, still a possibility, I have two more days to decide, it's making me anxious. Have some serious FOMO on this CT pricing.

Worst case you lose $250 should you want to back out, but you have to think the price is going well above the current offering.
Good luck. 👍

My woman rolled her eyes in grief at that "ugly thing" after I made the reservation in 2019, and I never mentioned it to her again until I showed up with it after delivery. I wasn't going to change my mind, and there was no point arguing about it.

She loves it now, btw

HA. I Hope the same with my wife. She can't stand the looks and keeps saying I hope you change your mind. My response was wait till you drive it. She already said can you at least get it wrapped. I was planning on it at some point anyways, but now it's her idea. :ROFLMAO:

I wonder if the BAWD will have at least 1 unique identifier in the VIN...

Tesla Cybertruck $59,990 Dual Motor AWD Cybertruck announced! (Estimated Delivery Date Now 2027!) tesla-cybertruck-vin-decoder

Might have a lower GVWR (digit 6 maybe "G" instead of "H", like the RWD). Digit 8 is for the number of motors, but that should remain the same ("D"=dual, "C"=RWD).
