Last night the suspension compressor or control mechanism failed to raise the CT o medium level. We traveled 7.5 miles on entry level or below that. There was no suspension. We felt every bump, pot hole and expansion joint in the pavement. Message on dash says. "suspension may return on next trip". Well that never happened. Two weeks for a service appointment. So I ordered the Armor Package so it is installed before we head into Ontario this year. I hope this is the last time for this suspension issue.

Still under warranty? Honestly most of those components could probably be replaced in the driveway… It’s really just the cost of parts

One of the reasons I found the CT DM AWD base model attractive - the coils springs. Just hoping the aftermarket offers a version with a 2" lift for better off roading clearance. 10" clearance is adequate but 12" would be meaningful.

yes under warranty but what about going past warranty? I don't want to be having to take Big Red in every other year for a suspension compressor! My wife is from Ontario Canada. Ya we spend a lot of time up there hunting fishing picking berries and just about any other outdoor activity. So what happens when I am 4 hours from the nearest service center and on a logging road fishing a creek or trout lake? It bothers me that it has happened twice now.

I disabled the auto lower function to reduce potential wear and tear. The truck still adjusts height for freeway speed etc, basically med to low, vice versa, but does not go to entry mode when parking the vehicle. Haven’t really heard the compressor since, about 4wks now, where I was hearing compressor daily.

From my past experience (Cayenne), air suspension turned out to be such a headache - and this was with supposedly one of the more defined/reliable air suspension.

Replacing them mechanically or even rebuilding them was one thing but filling it with nitrogen, performing calibration, etc.. was not worth the hassle (time and money).

I hope you get yours sorted for good, while you have the warranty.

I had an air suspension failure on my Alaska trip. Front up and rear down. FSD wouldn't work. Looked like I was overloading the truck. Tesla Anchorage fixed it in a few days with a new air suspension valve block shipped from Seattle. The tech had to remove the vault floor to get to it. They let me put all my camping gear in the vault of another Cybertruck overnight while the repairs were being made. Great service.

I had my air compressor relaced in both of my 2024 FS Cyberbeasts with less than 10,000 miles each, it's an issue. I did remove the "save This Location" spots for most of my in-town trips. i still have it for the car wash and my steep driveway, I would rip off the mud flaps if i did not.
when I first got my beast, I have a lot of fun in my city at traffic lights going up and down.

I have since then removed the spots and kept entry upon exiting my truck, Hint when you make an adjustment in one truck it automatically goes to the other!

I am inserted in Coil overs; however, the jury is still out on that for Cybertruck.

I am not one for off roading or dirt roads, I have asphalt Kings, I do enjoy the 125-mpg speed.
I did hit 137 going downhill on I-95 last summer,

get the compressor replaced under warrantee and ask them to extend the Compressor to 50K , my service center said they would for that part
I looked up the part it's less that $200, and install seems basic

To replace the air compressor for the suspension of a Tesla Cybertruck, follow these steps:

good luck

I don't expect it to fail often, but when mine failed the Tesla Service manager said with all air suspensions, it's not a matter of if, but when. He said he would bet most will last more than 80k miles, but they replace them on the MS/X often. He said, "you lift and lower a heavy vehicle that often, it's going to fail at some point".

He said to make it last longer remove things like lower on entry (which I did).

I had mine go out last year. I was getting constant messages that it couldn't raise above low level. I was stuck in low mode for some time. Eventually it just wasn't raising at all. I had the service center fix it, but now I'm cautious about using high mode too much. Medium seems to be fine, but hotter weather it doesn't like. I had a loaner CT a few months ago that seemed to raise/lower much faster than mine. Hopefully I won't have to take it in a second time for repair. It's the one thing on the truck that I think will cause the most headaches long term.

Air suspension is nice but this is one of the reasons I ordered (and prefer) the new dual motor build. All air suspension vehicles have significant maintenance challenges and are expensive to repair post warranty. I'm planning to keep the truck for a long time. For off road I understand the advantages of air but I don't do off road.

They wouldn't be able to use the air suspension for that.

They would have had to install a different compressor. I would have liked that as well, but the truck already came in over cost.
