Tesla is less flexible at the end of quarters and almost inflexible at the end of the year. They are trying to move vehicles for numbers.
True, but most of the deliveries I've been involved with have been at the end of quarters.

The xpel product is great / I have it on the sides of my bed and the top appliques. Looks great / covers the discloration.

Of course, it is a truck ;-)
I agree. I put the Xpel kit in my truck bed, as well as on the bumpers and wheel arches - Great Product and so is the vendor - Abstract Ocean.

As for the delivery:

I got a call from the Ft Worth delivery center this last Saturday saying the truck would arrive in Ft Worth Monday night, and that I HAD to pick it up Tuesday, March 31. They said if I could not pick it up on Tuesday, they would sell it to someone else. I had a doctor's appointment on Tuesday and could not get it that day. They pissed me off, but I figured I would take my chances if they could really find someone to take a delivery that quickly. Luckily, the truck really arrived in Ft Worth on Sunday morning. I received an automated message on Sunday about 10 AM telling me to schedule the delivery. The app let me set the delivery for Sunday afternoon. I scheduled a 3 PM pickup, but they called and said they needed more time to prep the truck, so I rescheduled for 5 PM.

I got there, and the truck was ready. There were no issues, except that they could not get me a temp Texas license plate due to a problem with the state's issuing system. Luckily, I had my old plate with me, and put it on, so at least it looked legal. They got the plate on Monday and overnighted it to me since I live 2 hours away.

Save registration fees by having our old plates assigned to your new Cybertruck! It is possible in Oregon.

I picked up my truck 3 days ago. Nothing has gone into the bed yet. I have not even climbed into it.

Thanks for the pictures, these looks great. I would have taken this one. The issue with mine was that it was discolored with black green hue spots all over cuz it was restored with a trim touchup liquid and it looked patchy and ugly.

I also had issues with the fender and the Tonneau Applique on all 3 sides which required those to be ordered and replaced in servicing, decided to reject the delivery cuz of all these issues.

The composite bed of the Cybertruck is super tough. I don't know anything about "discoloration" issues. All I ever do to it is sweep or blow it out and occasionally wash it with a bucket of soap and water and a truck washing brush (about once every 3-4 times that I wash the truck).

Here it is after I cut some firewood recently:

Then I swept it out with that little hand broom:

Two weeks later I still hadn't washed it with soap/water but I picked up a workbench:

I'll probably clean it up good within the next couple of weeks but I have one more load of wood to get before I waste the time. I'm sure it will look great, just like it always does after I wash it. I love the bed!

And you still don't have a Cybertruck?
for the uninitiated, how do you get that workbench down from the bed? I've never hauled anything remotely that bulky

Pictures would be helpful. I expect if you were like me and took dozens. I picked up my Beast March 2026 yesterday and the bed was perfect as were all the plastics. In fact I went looking for something and found nothing. I also looked at the others (non beast) and they were good to great. Few of the aws had some alignment issues but nothing that I would have accepted. Mine was the best out of the 4 that day.

i didn’t take pictures during inspection. The sales and delivery crew was awesome though, we were trying to resolve the issues and they even offered to replace all the fenders and trims, but the bed issue was too messy and my sales rep himself advised to skip the vin and that he’ll get me new one assigned.

Yes i agree the new builds are really good — my buddy has a foundation series and the current builds are day/night difference, the body panels look great and well aligned all around.

Hope you are enjoying your beast! :)

Nice glad to hear and hope you are able to jump the line. I know mine felt like it was taking forever to arrive. I actually ordered two cbs and the first one in won. First day and all good! I suspect I’ll never take it out of beast mode.

I was solo so I had to use my head. Fortunately, the air suspension made it easy. It was delivered by a semi-trailer that couldn't navigate the curvy, steep narrow dead-end ally that services our garage. So I met the truck driver out front and, with the Cybertruck in 'Extract Mode", the semi-trailer bed almost matched up to the Cybertruck bed, we just slid it in by hand and the full 480 lb. pallet dropped 9 inches into my bed with a satisfying thud. Then I drove it around to the garage and backed in.

I lowered it to "Easy Entry" mode and drove the front wheels onto a stack of three 2x6's to further lower the tailgate and let gravity work in my favor. If I had five 2x6's for each front wheel I would have used them to make it even easier. But it wasn't too difficult to slide the pallet out of the bed onto a hand truck/dolly I had laying on the garage floor. The Cybertruck bed has just the right amount of friction for a truck bed and not anything to catch on. This would have been really difficult to do in a truck of normal height like my F-150 XLT 4x4 that has a bed sitting quite high off the ground. The chance of damage to the workbench/hand truck/tailgate would have been too high for me to want to even try it. And it has steel edges that catch on pallets and other cargo, often making you work 4 times as hard.

As it was, I was concerned about the concentrated weight of the 480 lb. workbench on the end of the tailgate as I slid it out to the balance point before sliding it onto the reclined hand truck. But the top edge of the tailgate handled it perfectly without damage. The quick/easy way to get it out would have been with 4 strong people, one on each corner, but I'm often working alone and have found using my head and harnessing the laws of physics and anticipating potential problems in advance makes things you think are impossible, possible. Things you thought were hard, easy. Cybertruck's bed and air suspension (if you have that) makes things a lot easier.

What does the surface under look like when or if you need to replace? Is it a sticky residue mess or do they come off clean?
The bed is really tough, I wouldn't worry about trying to protect it from faint scratches, it's not really going to impact the value much, no rational buyer down the road really cares if you used the truck bed or not.

I'll inspect my bed more closely whenever I get around to washing it but, so far, I'm super impressed with how it handles regular abuse without looking abused. Tesla did their homework on this composite material. When they say you don't need a bed liner, they mean it. It's tougher than steel by a good amount. I generally keep a large piece of heavy corrugated carboard or thin, tough foam sheet laying in the bed just for the utility of pulling it out towards me when unloading the forward items in the bed but I take it out before hauling firewood rounds or anything heavy enough that I need it to slide on the catch-free bed surface.

I had my pickup today and had to unfortunately decline the delivery because there were a few damages to the trim/fenders and the truck bed looked discolored. I was informed the bed is generally not clean and uniform in color. Touch up with trim restorer during pre-delivery cleanup is apparently pretty common.

Can anyone with a recent 2026 build post some photos of your truck bed, and share their experience with delivery and if their truck bed was also restored with a trim restore polish product? Would love to get some reference points. Thanks!
I put a aftermarket bed liner in mine (03/07 delivery) and it, along with the trim/fenders were all just fine on delivery. I also had a PPF wrap installed and ceramic coating applied to everything except glass and tonneau cover.
I suppose it was overkill but I plan to keep it a long time so wanted to get off to a good start. :)

I'd describe it as out of necessity due to staffing which with Tesla is always lean. Want "better service" order mid-qtr, mid-mo. I ordered Feb 5th and delivery was Mar 7th and the service levels were outstanding.

i appreciate everyone has a different opinion on things that are bothersome and obviously truck bed will eventually get dirty and messy. However, when spending $130k on a cyberbeast, it just feels wrong to repair things and do cosmetic touchups out of the gate, especially when the touchups make it look ugly and patchy. To each their own, but companies shouldn’t get a pass for not delivering new products in pristine condition.

To my Tesla sales team’s credit they are really helpful and want to generally do the right thing and offered me replacements on all trim/fender damages. But truck bed issue just pushed my sales rep and me over the edge and we both agreed it’s best to reject and get a new one. All good in the end, not a big deal, i was just curious if others had similar issues.
