26 CB missing roof power feed harness

Apparently it's a feautre (to remove it) from 26's and possibly late 25's. I thought I was good to go with the CB since 26 still has the roof applica (mounting points) whereas the AWS does not. Lightbar arrived and was all set to install until I was not. What I did not realize is in 26, apparently for all CTs they removed the harness. Has anyone purchased and installed in a CT that was missing one? If so where did you get it?

They stopped providing the harness on the 2025 AWD models. You can purchase it directly from Tesla for 10 bucks.

do you need to remove the roof panel to install it? How do you seat the gromit?

Yeah, you need to remove the B-pillar trim and the front portion of the top trim. There is a plug under the trim that you replace with the harness grommet.

Do you consider it a trival install? I was all set to flip the compartment open, pull out the wires and install the bar on a week old CB -- thinking if I should get the part and follow the procedure below or see if service will do it. What do you think?

Yeah, you need to remove the B-pillar trim and the front portion of the top trim. There is a plug under the trim that you replace with the harness grommet.

The wiring isn't hard, but the updated lightbar install procedure requires new brackets and two riv-nuts (which requires drilling holes in the top and installation tool) along with the precut double sided tape. I'd recommend scheduling with service.

I should have clarified - I'm installing the XKGLOW that looks to be easy. I was more concerned with taking off the roof cover - seating the grommit etc.

Looking at the install guide - do you have to disconnect the MV Power?

Oh!
Shouldn't be an issue, the grommet seals when installed in the hole. Solder the wires on before you install the light bar (easier access).
Keep the roof feed off and you shouldn’t really need to disconnect MV power.

I just installed the tsportline lightbar. Super easy, I just used heat sink and electrical tape. Whole install was about 20 minutes. The appliqués pop right off. The b pillar comes off with one screw.

Had to order the part from Tesla - takes a week (they said) and it lines up with service appt so will hopefully be able to install the light bar end of next week.
