Rain Repellant on Cameras for FSD

Two vehicles with FSD, working great
2026 MY AWD Premium
2025 Cybertruck Premium

mostly on rhe Cybertruck looking for better camera performance in heavy rain, or in/out rain periods

from the factory, the cameras don’t seem to have water repellant coating

bought below, made in Japan
Detailed install instructions including 12 hour cure

Have you tried rain-x prior to this?

I use rainx wiper fluid, no issue btw, and the wipers run great. Used rainx wiper fluid for years on all of my Teslas and seems to extend the wiper life. Sold now, but never changed the wipers on my 2023 MYP, worked perfectly.

I do have the pure rainx but did not try on rhe cameras. Feel this chemical with the 12 hr cure should perform better.
Today I plan to apply.
