I am about to acquire a PAWD Cybertruck, which unfortunately is on a containment hold at the SC for last one month. While I am excited about it, I am also somewhat apprehensive given the mixed reports regarding reliability. I would appreciate hearing from actual owners about their real-world experience.
* How long you have owned it
* Current mileage
* Whether it has been your daily driver or used occasionally
* Any mechanical, electrical, or software-related issues you have encountered

Overall, how would you rate the Cybertruck’s reliability so far?
I am particularly interested in understanding the long-term durability of the battery pack and electrical systems as mileage accumulates.
Thank you for sharing your experience.

My CT is a 2025 with 7500 miles. The battery has already failed and they are replacing it with a refurbished battery pack and new cells. They are backlogged with batteries because so many are failing and they told me it will be at least a month before they can replace it.

I've got a '24 Foundation Series with 20k miles on it. 17k miles in the last 6 months. No issues at all. Only time it went in was for the cant rail recall. Other than that it's been peachy!

• Mar 2025, built in Feb.
• 24,000 mi, 18000 on FSD.
• 10,000mi roadtrip to ski in brutally cold conditions as low as -4°f
• no issues, other than tailgate needing replacement as it lost adhesion in middle of panel. Replaced under warranty.

From 3wks ago. I'm on Michelin LTX Defender Platinum tires. Summertime around town, they're fairly efficient. But winter on the highway, easily over 500Wh/mi.

I think we had a poll on here earlier and reliability was extremely good, something like 95% "no problems". The major issue that has affected significant numbers is the PCS failure. I suspect it won't be a big problem moving forward.

I have a Foundation Series 2024 it has 5,800 miles on it. Recently drove it from Bay Area to Portland to Missoula Montana, through Idaho and back to Bay Area. I accepted this vehicle in Honolulu because that was the only location that had all the exact specs and the deal I wanted, anyway I drove about 300 miles around Honolulu while there, had it shipped to San Diego, so I drove it San Diego to Bay Area after the shipments. This vehicle has had no issues at all, aside from a tiny amount of water comes into the tonneau, and the windshield wiper begins working randomly sometimes, and when it spits out washer fluid not enough seems to come out.

This is not my daily driver, I drive a Prius V3 often also, and I do cover the Cybertruck outside on a friends property often, and I have Only ever charged my Cybertruck at Super Chargers, because my rental home seems far and in a crowded neighborhood so I can't imagine plugging it into my home.

The PCS failure is something I'm interested finding out if or when it will happen with my Cybertruck.

The milage, this vehicle eats power, I charge it up to 80% and it seems to deplete quicker than I'd expected, but on the highway it seems better, the most I've driven between charges was about 230 miles, I was surprised and giddy to see it have charge for that much milage. I was probably drive 69 to 72 mph.

All of this positive feedback about the CT makes me feel better! Hopefully after this battery issue it will be smooth sailing

'24 CB, 20k miles on it. It's my daily driver. Had the PCS fail and cant rails replaced under warranty. Leaky tonneau (fixed with windshield tape). Other than that, its been great. Every other car I've driven since I got the truck feels archaic. If I wrecked it, I'd buy another one.

0ct 2024. 29k miles. 430wh/mi lifetime with Firestone Destination X/T’s. Multiple problems:

1. charge controller fault. Would not supercharge when outlets on. Repaired under warranty. 11/2025

2. Rear brake caliper sensor fault. No FSD or TACC during a 2k mile roadtrip. Manually driving for 1k miles wasn’t fun. Repaired under warranty. 9/2025

3. PCS failure. 3 weeks wait in part. Replaced. 4/2026

4. Day after truck was picked up from PCS replacement. High Voltage system faults. Truck towed to server center.
Device Cluster and Mid Voltage wiring harness replaced under warranty 4/2026.

5. 45 days later, HV fault. LV fault. Was able to clear faults and drive to Service Center. There now. Still waiting. 6/2026.

The electrical problems started after the PCS failure/replacement. Until then it’s been fine. I don’t know if the technician messed something up when they replaced the PCS or if it’s a result of a cascade failure type of situation.

Tesla has been great. It’s all under warranty and I’ve gotten a loaner every single time as I should have. Either another truck, an X or S. Except after the device cluster/harness issue. That was a standard MY Rear drive. A new one. Meh. Not for me. I had an X for 3 weeks for the PCS issue. Nice ride.

Is it possible some of the problems are attributed to off road (ab)use. There is a lot of stress on the skeleton and everything connected to it. Just saying.
