The ai responses are BS and to some degree, so are the RN numbers.

My RN is earlier than a bunch of guys that ordered 1-2 days before me. The first delivery was RN127140xxx but the guys at the beginning of the line are still waiting for trucks. The op, who got his Vin first I believe is stuck on step 5 of delivery steps.

It really is a crapshoot at this point with a slight advantage to guys who ordered 1st.
The fact that we were able to use old reservations with RN numbers from years ago, clearly shows RN number doesn't really correspond to VIN assignment order.

If it did, early reservation holders would have been the first to get their trucks.

They’re replacing an interior panel for me and going to assess whether or not they can easily adjust the frunk panel gaps. Hopefully we can take delivery tomorrow.
Were you able to see your truck in person? Or are these issues they found on their own?

Chalk me up as another member who had a damaged Tesla L-Track shipping box delivered. Yup, it’s missing all of the mounting hardware. Tesla e-mail has been sent.

The Tesla dealership in St. Louis, Missouri, has been unresponsive despite my attempts to contact them all week; they keep delaying my delivery. I tried calling the support line, but they said there was nothing they could do because the St. Louis dealership isn't even answering them. My insurance coverage started on June 5th, and I made the payment on June 6th as requested by the St. Louis dealership—it’s a terrible situation. Most importantly, they haven't responded to any of my messages, emails, or calls since last Monday.
is it Chesterfield or south?

Never had an L track or knew what it was in my last 3 trucks but apparently its something that can't be lived without that I didn't know before 😜
The main reason I decided to get them is because of the gaping holes present if you don’t install them. The bed looks unfinished. They clearly expected most people to buy them.

Here are some updates since yesterday:
@SlyvesterTesler - possible delivery today pending fitment adjustments
@CybrTrk26 - scheduled for Friday
@tummy - scheduled for Sunday (Nice father's day gift, if it applies!)

That would be 2x the deliveries from last week. Nice progress!

FYI - made some tweaks to the tracker data. Delivery status column gives a better idea of where folks are in the process that have received VINs. Removed the "Griswold Poll" column, but added notes to the users that have been "ghosts" from the poll data.

I'm the one that posted the photos of the damaged L-Track's that were delivered yesterday. I started the return process online. Tesla makes you do this on their website. For those that don't know, if something arrives damaged, it isn't quite as easy as returning on Amazon. You need to log into the Tesla account your ordered the item with, find the order and follow through with the drop down menus to request the return. That's the easy part, now the wait. You aren't given a return label just yet. See, when you make this request online, their "E-Commerce" team is notified. They usually respond within 24-48 hrs (according to Tesla phone support) on how to proceed (return label, asking if you want a replacement etc.). That is the step I'm at now.

Whenever their e-commerce team reaches out (hopefully in the next day or two) I'll ask them to attempt and ship me a replacement. It takes about 10 days from order date to delivery. The packaging that Tesla uses to ship the L-Track is very flimsy. The L-Tracks are held inside the box with small pieces of foam, any shaking of the box and they come loose are start rattling against one another. Unless they upgrade their packaging or ship the item quicker, I suspect this will happen again. For reference, Tesla shipped the order within 2 days of ordering, it then spent 8 days in the custody of UPS to make it from California to Florida. It's a long commute for quality of packaging used. I'll keep everyone updated.

Since then, my original delivery window has gone from May–June, to Sept–Oct, to 2027, and now back into Tesla mystery mode. Now Tesla Assist just gives me the classic “I don’t have access to specific order details” answer.

So basically… congrats to everyone getting deliveries!

I’ll just be over here swiping and waiting for someone to open the VIN box 😂

Talked to rep and they said the battery is on order and can't provide an ETA ... Said it may take a few weeks ...

Well....

Taking delivery Saturday.... Turns out, it didn't need a battery. Containment hold was due to a missing owners manual.... Ridiculous
