I am
Happy with mine. No issues. I am so happy to not have to drive my Tundra around town and now when I go to Ontario Canada I don’t have to pay $7.90 a galling for gas. Yippie. This is one bad azz truck.

As a fan of Tesla and early adopter of the Model X, I have asked myself multiple times why I subject myself over and over again with quality and service issues.

Regardless of being the first of its kind, issues regarding the foundation CTs continue to grow including,

1. Bricking due to charging issues/PCS/HV/harness
2. Bricking after car wash
3. Tonneau cover gap
4. Water damage to tonneau cover buttons
5. Overhead gear selector popping/dropping
6. Panels flying off
7. Windshield cracking/deformity
8. Windshield wiper motor not working
9. Rear doors not opening 90 degrees
10. Seatbelts installed incorrectly
11. Screen blacking out
...

On top of that, service is backed up, takes forever to get parts, repair itself takes days to weeks, and worse part of it all... poor communication...

I've already had my front windshield replaced, wiper motor replaced, gear selector fixed, and now find myself waiting on a side mirror replacement.

I repeatedly convince myself that it's okay and find myself justifying the situation. Like a bad/unhealthy relationship you keep on going back for more abuse. Not only am I complacent, I defend the behavior by saying,

"It's a Tesla.."
"Small price to pay as an early adopter..."
"I knew what I was getting into..."

It's sad, foolish and so egregious that it's comical. Never did I allow this with my other cars.

Yet I sit in the 100K+ car, being towed left and right, smiling and secretly hoping that it won't brick while my kids are riding in the back.

On a side note, anyone with a CT that is working without issues for more than month or two (with a couple of thousand miles+)?
i have 4500 miles in 1 month so far no issues. most of those miles in the first week driving back from CA to MA. ive gone to a dozen car shows (at least 1 or 2 every weekend) and people get in touch stuff (and the friggin kids touch EVERYTHING) so far so good.

We have a CT, serial number in the early one thousands. Only issue is an air leak in the drivers side window front that Tesla adjusted in one day. Sorry you have had frustrating issues. Our Model X had a bad electronic module that took two visits to fix. But it has been trouble free since that fix.

Almost 10k miles with two road trips and no issues. In fact the ct did exceedingly well in the Colorado mountains.
This truck is also an amazing workhorse for my business. Can’t be any happier.

Based on what I have read so far, these are isolated issues that happened to a few people. It’s natural for these owners to come here and ask for suggestions. We can’t assume that every other Cybertruck is having these issues. Majority of Cybertruck owners are happy. Every man made object will have issues, from a simple toy car to the most expensive car on the planet. Do you know how many recalls happen on refreshed ICE vehicles? A LOT! Both my brand new BMW and Lexus had major recalls within six months of delivery. Same thing with my Ducati. Of course I didn’t see viral videos or articles about it because who the F** cares. Cybertruck on the other hand is a whole new level. People have to rant about it here and media has to pick it up, and then some of our friends and family members have to share those FUD articles to me, and ask me to cancel my order. What a circus?! ? .

If you are that unhappy with Cybertruck, nobody is stopping you from selling it after 10 months. Just be aware that when you start these threads summarizing every isolated issue as the laundry list of issues that you personally experienced with YOUR Cybertruck, there are people who are waiting to pick on these and start a FUD campaign in mainstream media, irrespective of your genuine intention to share your frustration!
Well said! However, the ownership enjoyment from the man (and woman) on the street reactions and conversations makes it all worth it. Not visible is the fact that it drives like a dream with the drive-by-wire four wheel steering and the adjustable air suspension.

I too got on the bandwagon for the love of disruptive tech. But I often wish things to improve not worsen...
I’ve been driving Tesla since the first pre-AP Model S. CT is my 3rd vehicle from them. CT isn’t perfect, and I had a few minor issues(steering wheel calibration and minor cosmetic issues) with delivery, but for me, it’s a lot better built than my previous two cars.

I took it to service yesterday, and they fixed the steering calibration and buffed out the scratches in about 5 hours. If Tesla were a 100-year-old car company, I would not be happy. But at a little over ten years, I can accept these compromises.

I have to laugh at the OP comments and the “if Tesla were a 100 year old company” comment. My wife bought a Decender last year. Been to service twice; won’t do OTA undated and it takes months to get a service appointment. Car before that was a Mercedes. Long waits for appointments and outrageous charges. The constant reminders for required services were aggravating.
ii also had one of the very early S models. In 12 years I can count on one hand the number of service appointments. Usually mobile service fixed issues. I count Tesla as superb general service compared to legacy manufacturers.

My service appointment today to put a rivet in the accelerator and reattach the mirror took 30 minutes.

I’ve got 899 miles on my CT and no mechanical or electrical issues, although it’s been to the Tampa SC twice.

First for a windshield wiper replacement because the factory put some kind of permanent white mark on the wiper that wouldn’t come off. No big deal, but it took them 4 days to get the part!?.

Second trip to SC was for accelerator pedal, door striker bolts, FFC backbone routing and door check strap bolts, all completed in one hour and done at Tesla’s suggestion.?

Having it wrapped in Pearl White Gloss at the moment, because the stainless was a pain in the rear to keep clean.

Other thank that, I’m loving my CT and can’t wait for FSD to arrive and to resolve my lack of HomeLink issue!?

True that! At the same time the truck is incredibly expensive. I cannot help hearing my Dad's voice in my head saying, you are spending WHAT? And, if you are spending THAT, they'd better damn well treat you right. It's how I was raised, it was not about a bleeding edge technological kind of thing...times may have changed, but that voice inside my head has not.

Well apologies for misleading others that the list was inclusive of all my personal problems. I did try my best to state that I've only had a few issues and was talking about the big picture about how we don't talk about it and accept it to be all fine. Tell that to those who got their trucks towed after waiting 4+ years. I mean, you can't check that the windshield wiper works or not before delivery????!!!!. Come on....

Perhaps my post title should say, "why do we justify everything is okay" or something along those lines. But to say "misleading and destructive" seems a bit much. I clearly get the notion that I can't discuss my mind freely without being accused of being a troll myself on this forum.

Adieu then.

I do find the forum largely useful aside from folks getting super triggered about anything negative. Y'all enjoy your world of non-constructive criticism.

Likely will get banned but here is proof that I really own a CT for all the naysayers.
As I said in my first post, your thread might have genuinely started with good intentions. There is a price we, Tesla Cybertruck supporters, pay when we start these threads with a compile of issues that are based on our perception. There are people in mainstream media who desperately wait for these type of threads to fuel their FUD campaign. Nobody is trying to silence you. It’s important to share your experience or specific issues you are having. Stretching that to speak on behalf of all owners who faced these isolated issues is a slippery slope.

Think about it this way - let’s say you are part of a parenting group. Whenever people have any questions or concerns, they will post. Do people post all the time on how happy they are with their kids? You can’t conclude that owners are tolerating Cybertruck issues based on internet and social media. We don’t know whether the issues you complied are 1 out 10 or 100 or 1000? That ratio matters significantly. FUD campaigns work exactly based on this model. They say 1% is actually 100%. If 5 trucks had pedal issues and recall was given, they say the entire fleet of trucks delivered so far are a bad batch. If 10 trucks got bricked and you see 10 posts, it doesn’t mean the remaining 4990 trucks are getting bricked. I hope you get the point. In my personal view, it’s not a great idea to draw our own conclusions and start a campaign thread with these punching titles “why should we tolerate…”, as this just adds more to the FUD campaign. A better one would be to share your personal experience and conclude saying you cannot tolerate. Just my 2 cents.

Another ridiculous post. “Incredibly expensive”. One of my fellow employees bought a F250 last year with 160,000 miles and paid $66,000. He drove the Cybertruck and fell in love. At 79k when The Foundation series is done the Cybertruck is a relative bargain. As for Tesla treating you right? Yes they do.

It is incredibly expensive for me ?‍♂ and most others in the country, and on the entire planet.

Don't get me wrong--I'm still buying.
