Love this truck. Approx 36 hours after taking delivery, I headed off to the east coast. With 5,005 miles and 14 days later I arrived home.
Observations:
Happy driving!
Trip A: Lifetime stats (I never reset these in my Teslas) 457Wh/mi
Trip B: Road trip mileage (begin highway miles)
First 450 miles were local in the first day (making sure it was road worthy)
I have not washed the truck since VA, the rain removed most of the bug carcasses leaving these stained remains. I'll try to follow up with post-cleanup.
I saw another weird post on reddit where a guy had completely bald rear tires after 6k miles (allegedly). Here are my fronts and rears (in order). Will be rotating in the next day or so.
My grass after 2 weeks, dandelions are thriving. Prolly get some weed and feed and turn the sprinklers on, looks like Colorado is done snowing (fingers crossed).
Observations:
- Usage was 463Wh/mi with around 95% of the miles at interstate speeds between 70-80 mph.
- Probably spent 20 hours in the rain with some hail mixed in I think it passes the car wash test. Wiper performed well, though auto wipers remain trash.
- Attention as expected was high, I answered as many questions as I could and let people get inside most of the time. Represent.
- Rides smooth, TACC is great even without FSD.
- Got back into the Model X and almost understeered directly into a car taking a 90 degree turn. Steer by wire is the future and everything else feels old in comparison. Steering wheel in the Model X now feels like a tractor.
Happy driving!
