Thanks!

We have plans to build a house in the next few years and I'm really trying to sort this out in my head so I can lay things out for an easy install.

I was planning on having all electrical appliances (induction stove, instant hot water electric tanks, etc) and two EVs so I had 400 amp service planned.

No solar option as there are too many tall trees around the house that can't be trimmed per codes.

I guess I just need a gateway and put it in that 'open area' (see pict below) in my basement?
Any advantage to putting a single powerwall there instead of just a gateway. ie. I know the powerwall has some built-in features to enable the bi-directional Cybertruck V2H?

I have two 200 amp panels and I guess I would figure out what my critical loads are (1 heat pump in walkout basement and 1 heat pump upstairs, some main lighting, ... those dang instant hot water taken take high amps tho so need to leave those off).

>>> Would welcome any thought !! <<<

Tesla owner manual: older Wall Connector that supported 80a (72a in my X)

Old plans from 2021/2022 that I worked with a builder on and customized a lot ourselves.

Hi Chris! I would love to know how will it work if we currently have Tesla Solar with Powerwall 3's. QUESTION: Is it advised to wait to integrate with Tesla Solar, if not, how can we currently use with Tesla Solar, will we have multiple gateways right now if we try to get both system installed.

Thanks Chris!

I'm curious to how home insurance companies view the addition of Powershare equipment and how much it may effect pricing of insurance.

Hi Chris,
I saw this (see attached Image) on YouTube, but I wonder if this configuration requires specific version of the PowerWall.
Can I use an alternative to the Powerwall, like the Anker Solix X1?

What size wire is used from the gateway to the universal wall connector? Is there any limitation as to how far away it is?
I'm considering installing the wire in conduit myself from my house to my detached garage about 225 feet away.
I have the $4,000 installation credit from my CT Beast purchase but figure the charger wire would need to stay close to the Gateway to stay under $4,000.

If I want to add solar, can I do that? I believe my installer said the supplied gateway is currently not compatible with charging the truck from solar. If not, will this change in the future via a software update? Ideally I would like to add Tesla solar roof.

Please ask the electricians if you could simply install a 50 amp inlet and backfeed your panel.
I'd like to see their response.

That is a very generic question tho and there is a TON of info on that because it is the same as hooking your generator up and doing a transfer switch or an Generator Interlock kit.
