Yeah I have the same problem. iPhone 15 Pro Max. It gets hot just after 5 minutes. Leave it there and the iPhone shuts down due to over heating. The inductor seems to be off. It happens to me on cheap wireless chargers that I use.

Wireless charging requires near perfect alignment between the induction coils in the phone and the pad for it to work. Any misalignment creates excess heat.

The design of the charger in the CT makes it much more likely this doesn't happen with any "max" phones.

It's too bad Tesla couldn't use the tech from their own CT-inspired wireless desktop charger. That has tech that allows you to put the device down anyplace on the pad.

Works great for me but I have an iPhone 12 and I don’t use a case.

my Subaru ascent cooks my phone if it’s not aligned perfectly on the wireless charger.

Yep, 15 Pro Max won't charge. Supposedly, it's because of the cameras.

They could have made it work with a simple detent but, I guess they weren't thinking about people with the latest phones?

My GF's phone charges fine (15 pro non max).

I'm hoping there's an after market fix someone will come up with. On the 3, I could turn the phone upside down and it would charge. Doesn't seem to work in the CT.

I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max and it’s terrible. My biggest complaint with my CT. That and lack of the middle front seat/console to make it a six seater. ?
Ha yeah I wish there was a front middle seat. Maybe they’ll bring it with the 2WD version.

It works great for my "max" phone, a Samsung S8+. I even have a thin cover on it, no overheating, plenty fast charging.

Magbak display dual magsafe mounts, when you use no case or add a magsafe case, especially from Magbak, it works perfectly, high watt charging. The dual mount pack provide a high power charger as well. Very happy with the result even with a max size iphone. Good Luck

I really hope Tesla fixes this through a warranty claim or update. I already have wires running all over my old car that I am replacing… wasn’t really looking to replicate that here
