Wow that’s actually a lot more work than I thought
Aside from covered warranty service I've never had a dealer repair job that was that low cost. All dealer's invoices I've seen in the last few years today charged no less that one hour of labor and tacked on vague fees like "shop materials" that were usually $20 or more. That job at a BMW shop would have likely cost $100 for materials, $200 for labor and another $30 just because they could.

Just posting my thought, i broke both offroading and removed rhem. Its not hard at all! 8 10mm bolts and you can pull off the whole rocker panel, then a T35? to unscrew the rear fairings. First side took me 25 minutes, second side 15 minutes!

Well after 2000 miles I’ve managed to break both my rear rocker fairings. One side because of a tree branch and one side because of dead armadillo on the road. Both times driving on some dark roads.

Hopefully Tesla service wont beat me upside the head getting these fixed.

sounds like you need higher suspension setting or better eyes

I drive on comfort most of the time! Which is the highest driving height I believe.

And I agree. I don’t want to hit random things on the road but these little triangles break super easily.

I’ve had my MYP for 2 years with the Tesla Mudflaps and have definitely ran into debris and nothing ever separated off the car like this ??‍♂

Definitely taking responsibility for this. Obviously best to avoid hitting things in the road, but seems like a pretty weak point on the CT.
The truck looks fine without the wheel fairings so, if you don't like them, just take them off.

Most trucks don't even come with them even though it pushes fuel expenses higher for their customers. One less thing to manufacture and install.

Come to think of it, the Cybertruck comes with a lot of things other manufacturers cheap out on or only include on the most expensive trims like the powered tonneau cover, damage resistant bed liner, forged wheels and a great sounding stereo.

Ford or GM would probably charge you $350 more dollars for the "Aero package", LOL!

Okay not bad! A moment of silence for all the broken rear fairings.
How about a moment of silence for all the people who push the BS narrative that Tesla parts and service is expensive. Either those people are lying or they haven't had a car in a regular stealership lately.

I've been happy with the plastic component costs! The tailgate top cover is equally inexpensive to replace.
I'll have to do that. Mine is already scratched and scraped up from hauling my music equipment. Maybe it would make more sense to just cap/cover the area that's exposed when the tailgate is down somehow with metal.

Sure but metal gets scratched too and is more expensive to replace/heavier. Plastic has it's place I suppose. I'd rather scratch up my plastic OEM bumper a bunch while wheeling than a $2000+ UP metal one...

Good points.
If the trim I scraped up can be removed and replaced more than a few times without wearing or breaking its fastening points or their mates on the tailgate, I could keep a “dress” piece on hand for my occasional OCD episodes ?
