If you took delivery of CT recently (April 01 onwards...) , how was the following
  • Panel Gaps
  • other issues in first 500 miles (minus Wiper)
I'll be picking my CT next week (yes got pushed out from this week) and I'm trying to gauge what to focus on during delivery.

Zero problems, 500+ miles, mid May delivery. The tonneau cover rubber seal towards the tailgate was loose on delivery, I put a double sided tape on it, it's been fine.

There's nothing like this truck out there, it's all brand new in technology and appearance, so being too picky isn't really fair, after all we have a choice, whining about imperfections is not fair, you're better off walking away from your reservation and get your $100 back.

I have taken delivery of a brand new 2015 MS, 150 miles away since there was nothing close by, I drove the car for almost 9 years and when I recently sold it, it was better than I first picked it up. We're a Tesla family, we have all the models minus the original Roadster and I have seen problems with all of them but Tesla service always makes up for it.

The truck will get better with time, I didn't even have the backup camera lines on our original 2015 MS, it's a leap of faith. So if you are new to Tesla, have no fear, it'll work out in the end, and if it hasn't worked out, it is not the end.

It's just a car, enjoy it, collect a lot of memories and smiles with it, it'll be a part of your family which is why we name them.

Yes it will definitely depreciate, people don't buy cars as an investment, if you can afford it, buy the Beast, I thoroughly enjoy mine and can't stop driving it, I didn't buy to sell it and plan on keeping it until it's a money pit or I get bored with it, I equally enjoy driving my MX and my 2019 Toyota Tundra, so there's no hate, here, each have there own utility.

Yes, we paid 20k more for the FS, no regrets here, but YOLO guys, enjoy life and do whatever brings a smile to your face

Just hit 500 miles here. Just some minor scratch marks on the front plastic bumper since delivery. I’ll have Tesla take a look at it to buff it out when they’re looking at the wiper. I thought my tonneau cover was having problems but I just had to get used to the clicking mechanism on the exterior control. Works flawlessly. Zero panel gaps or misalignments thankfully.

Weird resin/chip spot on top corner of windshield, frunk panels not the best, and wiper missing the area right infront of me lol!

June 8th delivery
  • Frunk misaligned
  • Tailgate misaligned
  • One rack mount cover pushed inside bed rail
  • AC vent louvers on drivers side won't change direction! Passenger side and back work correctly. Restart and power cycle did not fix.

Picked mine up on May 30th from the Sunnyvale location. Was cleaned nicely. Had my wife, daughter and daughters boyfriend there to help look everything over carefully. We found no problems at all.
I've been enjoying the truck ever since. Already have 1,700+ miles on it with a few off road trips.

Love it!!

Glad to know that. I’m picking from Sunnyvale too and guys have been really good in answering questions.

End of February. ZERO PROBLEMS. Don't worry, just enjoy! It's awesome!!

BTW, I bet you never looked at panel gaps before you bought a Tesla. I know I didn't. The haters/TSLAQ really did an effective campaign on that one...

Yes not as much. Honestly I’ve had Audis in past which are pretty good. But I also bought the Model 3 in 2018, which had gaps too but it was never such a big issue. But again, no such vehicle past got so much attention, and it’s under the microscope…
