I’m not getting the power share and charger because I configured a better option with a local electrician so now I have a $2500 code to use. Everything is out of stock or overpriced or alcohol free so I have a great idea that pleases all parties.

Let me apply my gift card to my extended battery. I put $500 deposit on one when I ordered my CTFS. Tesla gets the $2500 now and I will (hopefully) pay $12k instead of $15k when the extended battery is ready.

I’m hoping Tesla reads this blog and sees any comments or upvotes from you all if you agree with my idea. Maybe before June 2025 (the gift code deadline) Tesla will allow us to apply the code to our battery order.

$2,000 in gift cards and $500 in whatever I can that’s in stock is my plan.

Or, maybe the tent…….

I went thru the Tesla shop today and had to set up several "Notify me when this item is back in stock" notifications. I'm sure all the people who got their code yesterday bought out all the stuff worth buying. I may just have to spend it all on chargers and tshirts and set up a little store on ebay. Kinda crazy that we have only one shot to use the credit when everything's sold out!

While i like the idea, i doubt this will happen in the near future or before the voucher expires.

The voucher is not valid towards the purchase of Tesla gift cards unfortunately.

Dang! Foiled by the fine print. Making it worse, I can’t even get some liquor to take the edge off my disappointment!

I got my code yesterday(6/19/24) but I noticed the June 2025 deadline so I’m not going to rush to buy things I don’t need or are overpriced. I’ll do the Qmerit walkthrough and probably spend it on the Powershare - even though I’m not particularly enthusiastic about Powershare since my local infrastructure is pretty decent - but if the labor costs turn out to be too high, then yeah, I’ll use the coupon instead and order 100 T-shirts or something. ;)

This is a good idea, especially with how everything is temporarily out of stock. I’d personally like to buy the light bar with my voucher. I’d get the tent but it seems a bit complicated to set up for my taste.

I think the light bar and spare tire would be $2500 well spent! The issue at hand is this shit may never be available at the same time making a one time use $2500 voucher tits on a bull.

It's good for a year, so just hold on to it and when it's available (supposedly later this year), you'll be able to apply it. Also, there's no real money until it's used, so this would be similar to applying it. The benefit of just holding it is you have more flexibility (i.e. they introduce some other awesome feature that's more compelling to you then the range extender).
