I recently ordered an AWD FS and while I know the resale will be horrendous in the coming years (once new models come out and what not…); I was wondering if y’all thought the Foundation Series would hold any value from a collector’s point of view in a decade plus?

Can’t remember where I saw it but if memory serves, they’re only making ~20K Foundation CTs. So I’d assume from scarcity alone there would be some collectors value.

Foundation Series will be remember as an emblem relic. If they had made around 1000 and moved to another design/model maybe.. But the fact that non-FS types with the same physical design will continue for some time; expect the novelty to wear off and delute the value of the truck.

I think Tesla is on track to make around 10-15k FS Cybertruck's.

If they manufacture hundreds of thousands of units the FS might hold their value slightly better than non-FS trucks. Some buyers may value the exclusive "foundation series" laser etching more than others.

Unless there's something exclusive to FS that the Non-FS will not have!

Def not. Think of the FS as just a bundle of options at best, a more "loaded" initial truck. Nothing actually special about it. And yes, future versions of CTs will have improvements, etc.

It's a good truck though, but like any car (more than a usual truck), EV especially lately, it will depreciate a lot. Perhaps not as much as an S series or X5 the first year, but I'd expect it to be worth 50% of its value say after a few years.

None. Zero. FS will be utterly forgotten, especially after the first refresh.

“That FS badge and $5 will get you coffee anywhere in town!” Haha!!

But, I’m not concerned in the slightest. I’m loving every minute I get to drive this amazing creation.

It will be worth what it’s worth when it’s time to sell.

I don’t think so unless these cars don’t go into massive production levels, but that’s only speculation

Nope. The price we paid to get it early. No regrets. Might not have been the smartest or most financially responsible decision but made it knowing this would be the case. Also knowing the risk of early adopter issues. Fortunately I have not had any (like 95%+ of people).

Unless Elon maybe adds something to FS only like performance boost where non FS can’t get that. Or some other software based feature exclusive to FS. otherwise no.
Truck is great and we get all the attention so we drive it while we can be the popular one for a while. It’s fun.

The minute a CT refresh rolls out, first gen CTs will be forgotten. Do you find a 2012 Model S Signature series desirable? They're selling at $15k

They will depreciate a lot but will find a respectable bottom, especially the beast due to it's crazy acceleration #s and relatively low production
How many Cyberbeasts Foundation series will there be?

Unfortunately no. They will devalue just like any other tesla and car does. If you want a collectors car then buy a collectors car. Even lambo's devalue. Buy the rare cars where they are basically art pieces and yes the value will go up.

Nope there are far too many, going to be like 30k plus of them. If we are lucky in like 20 years and if say 2/3 of them get totaled.
