My model y is 1 year old and it has 6K miles only, had a flat tire, went to discount tires, they said I have another 2K life left on the tires.
and the bridgestone tires we have on the car are not having any warranty anymore. Meaning if tread runs out in 10 miles ,company does not offer any credit.

This makes me think is CT in same boat ? Did anyone have any replacement claim or buy extended warranty from tesla or discount tire or anywhere else ?

Extended warranties are always a gamble.
I'd look REALLY CLOSE to the details though. Most tire warranties tend to be prorated, so if it wears out early, you get little from it.
If there is a puncture, a lot of places will fix them for free.
I guess one of the biggest things would be sidewall punctures. They "total" the tire.

And then you need to determine who can replace the tire. I'm not sure, it may only be Tesla at this point.

And if your Model Y is only going get 8,000 miles, then you need to realize that this is because of that right foot.

Actually one tire is only 518+tax installed by Tesla. Maybe cheaper from the third party retail shops.

I was a skeptical at first. However I decided to get the discount tire certificates for my model Y LR. Let’s just say after 3 tire repairs and one replacement, as well as rotations, they have pretty much paid for themselves.

As much as I would like to say I am unlucky, but there is so much construction in my area I don’t think it’s deliberate.

I have a M3LR with 37k on 2 of the original tires. Had to replace the 2 other tires due to sidewall punctures. Went to discount tire for both of the repairs.
Funny thing is not only have I been told ALL my tires I take there for “nail” problems all seem to be unrepairable. But take that same tire somewhere else and it’s a $25 plug and away I go.
I didn’t get the warranty for the tires but I am never going back to that store again.

Yes, I always purchase warranty from Discount Tire for my Tesla's. I went to Discount the same week I picked up my Beast. I highly recommend it. It has payed for itself multiple times.

I did the same but was a little more hesitant since there is not a mileage guarantee on these. That was the biggest factor for purchasing on the M3 and it was money well spent.

Here's the total price paid in Texas for anyone that's interested--$492 out the door:

If you have to replace one tire, it's a wash. Debated about getting a tire/rim from eBay for $550 but a) it is 96lb that would take up storage space and b) would still have to pay for install/TPMS plus routine rotate and balance intervals. Discount Tire has always taken good care of us.

Everyone within a 5 mile radius is having their roofs redone due to storm damage so tire problems are all but inevitable.

The thing bothers me is say the tires already down more than 50% usage… then one of 4 tires needs to be replaced. The tire shop won't just give you a brand new tires… they might give you a new tire for free but have to purchase the rest 3 at the full price. I am thinking about buy a spare one and let it join the rotate, so if one get unrepairable damage, i will have a similar tread to use instead of buying all 4 tires new. Of course if more than 1 are unrepairable, then I have to buy all 4 new.
