Even if the seats were off after parking, when I check the app after being left parked and a sleep overnight, the seats say the cooling seats are on.

How’s this even possible?

edit: clearly the AC is off but for some reason the seats show as being cooled.

Mine all show dark, so something has evidently turned it on.

I have seen this once or twice on my truck. But I found that they weren't set to "auto." I don't know if that's any kind of fix and is likely coincidental, but it hasn't happened since.

So setting it to Auto prevented it from happening again?

I think you might be misinformed - seats are not cooled, they are ventilated and do not require AC to be on, just a fan in them
Thank you! Still doesn’t explain why they turn on or show that they are on after a long period of time sleeping.

This happens to me periodically. I believe there is an issue that needs to be corrected. I usually check the app after I exit the vehicle and turn it off from the app.
Short term solution, check the app. Lol

Oh interesting. I thought it somehow was connected to the AC ducts under the seat. Now I understand how the seat fan stays on when I turn the climate off!

After messing around with the app, I think it's showing the state the seat would have if climate control was on. Auto if auto, and blue or red bacon based on manual setting.
Set a seat state, then turn climate control off. Seats show 3 greyed strips, then after a couple seconds it will show the setting you selected.
This lets you know what will happen when you precondition, get in the vehicle, or [r]un dog mode (maybe Fifi likes a warm back seat).

makes sense…but what would it show if you wanted it actually ON? How could you tell the difference via the app?

Perhaps from force of habit, I feel uncomfortable exiting the truck. Once its in park there’s nothing to do but open the door and get out. I’m conditioned to run through a shutdown checklist. At least physically moving switches to off or disconnecting battery contacts. The feeling had been reinforced when I also discovered days after parking the truck that the app displayed the seat ventilation on. I noted using the auto setting seemed to resolve this, But it’s hot where I live and I like seat vents on high. Having to check the app all the time is inconvenient.

There probably is two more steps that you should get in the habit of.

Listen for the door lock sound.
Look to see if the mirrors have folded.

Those are the tell-tale signs that the refrigerator light has indeed gone off.

Mine shows this. Doors locked, it gave me that noise to let me know it is locked up. Looks like seat is on...

Definitely a glitch in the software. Hasn’t happened to me since the latest update but I also haven’t turned on my ventilated seats. Hopefully it’s been fixed with software. For what it’s worth I actually don’t think it’s “on” as I monitor the battery drain overnight and it doesn’t affect it.
