I feel it's time for a new thread about voucher financed Powershare Gateway orders and eventually direct deliveries to home & truck owners.

Pro Tip: If you need to convince yourself, by telling others, that taking the supercharging miles or buying the probmatic tent was the better use of your Foundation Series voucher, there are entire other threads which have been hijacked with that rationalization. And we thank you for taking those carefully engineered bait & switch deals. Hopefully that will expedite deliveries for those of us who want the Gateway. In the meantime please go to those places to "contribute" (i.e., detract) from those conversations instead of commenting here.

I ordered in 1st hour of getting the voucher email and got my Universal Wall Charger in a few days. Still no shipping info on the Gateway. Has anybody received theirs yet? Do you at least have shipping info?

At this point, I'd be grateful for any rumors ("I love rumors! Facts can be so misleading, but rumors, true or false, are often revealing.") as to what the delay in shipping might be?

Supply chain B.S.?

Tesla worried about cheap-skates and/or "I don't read instructions" DIYers making warranty claims after they f-theirs-up?

One would think if you are going to make 12,000-20,000 FS Trucks you might also manufacture 6,000-10,000 Gateways -hence the bait & switch solution.

But now that we are here, what gives?

I’ve been in a holding pattern with my assigned electrician since May due to Tesla not shipping them the gateway. This was before Tesla decided to increase the voucher price.

It sucks because now that I’m locked in with the assigned electrician (they already received the permits for the installation), I can’t cancel on them or I’ll get charged $300. They don’t know when Tesla will ship the gateway so I’m stuck in limbo.

I have pretty much the same problem. I've signed a contract with an installer, taken out the "not really a construction loan" that I'm already paying interest on to install 2 Powerwall IIIs (BTW CT come with the equivalent of 9) and (34) 400W PVs and all I've got for my $80k in financing is new shingles on the roof.

Come on Tesla! Why can't you do better?

I've been calling Tesla weekly and they give me the same thing. They will send an issue ticket to the specific department and I will get an email about the status. I did this last week and still no email. Called again today and they gave me this same thing, they will email you blah blah...

The installers can't install until both Powershare and wall charger arrives so I'm stuck using public chargers and the public chargers in my area are either occupied or out of order.

I'm a first time Tesla owner and I love my cybertruck but I think they need to make the post delivery support better

I have the opposite problem now. My gateway has arrived but no wall charger. When I look at my order history only the gateway is there. I just ordered the powershare bundle and that was it since it says it includes both. Did you order just the bundle or did you choose the bundle and a charger?

Yep!

My unpopular line of questioning... unpopular among my fellow Tesla owners, is basically "How can such an amazing innovate company accomplish such revolutionary and durable technology and yet still trip over the own dicks with seemingly unforced errors?"

In this case the error seems to be not simultaneously manufacturing proportionate number of PowerShare Gateways.

2 million CyberTruck Orders. Maybe 90% will cancel? Leaves 200,000 purchases.

Opportunity Decision: let's gouge/reward the first 20,000 reservation holders with a trim called "Foundation Series" and included highest ever FSD price of $12k (then drop it back down to $8k before it's even accessible but with no price difference refund) and throw in $3500 of hardware for V2G (aka "Powershare") charging, calling $20 of valued added so sales price can be $100k for dual motor option.

Hmmm... But how many of these critical Gateway parts should we manufacture?

Well, let's assume another 90% are not home owners, can't afford solar, or will take the bait & switch of free supercharging instead. That would mean we should simultaneously manufacture 2000 gateways.

And yet they manufactured 200?

All negative speculation aside.

I placed my PowerShare order within the first hour of the invitation email being sent. My weekly calls and email requests for deliver updates have changed from "late july" (which makes sense, now that this August) to the even more vague just "August."

I'll be sure to let any and all glancing at this thread know when I get my delivery date. But first I will notify my solar installer. :)

I ordered June 20th received my charger a week later and received my gateway on the 31st of Jul. Installing everything on the 19th

Wall Connector shipped 2 days later, coincidentally, I received tracking on the gateway a few hours after, although UPS has yet to receive the package, so I don't have a delivery estimate yet. Wall connector should be here tomorrow.

How did you do that? I couldn't find anything but links to FAQs and the support phone number. Currently been on hold for an hour.

Edit: Found the submission box and got the same email as you within 5 minutes. How did they do that so fast but couldn't answer the phone?

Yeah, I don't bother with the phone. I see tons of people complaining about slow/no response from Tesla, but I've sent all my issues in via the website and had a response within 2 days each time. Didn't get my voucher within a week of my delivery, got it 2 days after opening website support. Got a t-shirt instead of my tailgate ramp, got a response within 2 days for them to reship. Same with this latest issue of the UWC not being on the order. Not as satisfying as getting an immediate response calling in, but seems to be reliable so far.

UPDATE:

Thanks to a Tesla email last Saturday, and shipping confirmation email from UPS this morning, I can now report that my Gateway will arrive Thursday of this week. My installer has me vaguely schedule for early Sept.

l'll add to this thread with pics and a summary of how my install goes, immediate performance afterwards, and anything I can learn that might help others.

I ordered the Powershare bundle on June 27th, using up my $2500 Cybetruck voucher. Finally received the Powershare Gateway 3V today, but no sign of the bidirectional charger. The invoice from the Tesla store doesn't mention the charger. I see some others have the same question/issue. What is the resolution?
