I see so much hate for the CyberTruck on the internet, thought I'd do a simple poll.

Are you satisfied with you Cybertruck purchase?

I'm enjoying the CT a lot. I tend to ignore the haters. What bothers me more are the fanatics that ignore reality and insist everything Tesla does is perfect and the best.

I guess I try and ignore both ends of the spectrum and prefer to converse with more rational minds.

The May/June issue of Car and Driver published a multipage review of the Cybertruck Beast which was very favorable to this entry into the EV market. Perhaps some of the detractors who have no realistic and objective opinion of the truck will be influenced by this credible source ( if they ever subscribe and read automobile reviews)
IMO it’s all about clicks and views. More people are drawn to negative stories than not. Those who hate the Cybertruck, even though most don’t own, have seen in person or talked to an owner, believe everything negative they see on the internet. Influencers and YouTubers have figured out that a negative video about the Cybertruck, even without any direct knowledge, will get twice or sometimes three times as many viewers and comments.

I watched the first few minutes of one that had around 977K views and 10K+ comments. That particular guy reviews cars and had only one video that exceeded 400K views. The rest were 300K views or less.

All he did was talk about how bad the truck is was while talking about and showing video clips from other reviewers talking about how bad the truck is. There wasn’t a single objective complaint. Just a regurgitation of every other negative review. Haters love to hate and get their hate reinforced by each other in the comments section of videos like that. Even positive videos, with much less views will get haters in the comments.

Articles unfortunately are no different. Most I see written site our forum as their source and around 95% have been negative. It’s lazy journalism. They come in here, find a post where the owner is justifiably upset and is sharing, and they use that combined with the other negative stories to make it seem like everyone is having that experience. There are a ton of posts on here where people share their positive experiences and how much they love the truck but no one wants to hear that.

In the 1800’s there was this new invention called the horseless carriage. Imagine the stable owners being mad at this new fad that will never catch on.

I’m not saying the EV will replace the combustion engine, just pointing out that the times change.

I want my CT. I don’t care if someone hates it and I’ll be happy to show it to those who are interested.

Mine is going on two weeks in the shop with a unknown vibration. They rebalanced the tires before my roadtrip. It didn’t help. A motor is suspect now. This is my 5th Tesla and so far the one with the most time in the shop. This is an everyday driver. Road-tripped 2,100 miles last month. I’ll likely buy another one next year and get rid of this one (if it isn’t lemoned first)
I've also experienced a vibration that is not due to wheel imbalance. The vibration occurs between 50 and 65 mph. It's only slight, but clearly noticeable on smooth pavement. It was accompanied by a soft rumbling sound that could be mistaken for all-terrain tire noise. If I put a saucer of water on the center console, concentric ripples will form driving at those highway speeds. Tesla service rebalanced the wheels and found one tire with loose foam, but even after replacing the tire, the subtle vibration was still present.

A couple of days ago I received word from my Service Center that Tesla has authorized the replacement of both front and rear drive units after vibration was measured with a vibration measuring instrument. It's possible that the vibration couldn't be isolated to the front or the rear drive unit so they decided to replace both. Tesla estimates the work to be completed sometime next week.

Other than this issue, my CT has exceeded my expectations. I love the truck.

I am in Bend Oregon and it gets a little exhausting sometimes dealing with it to a point every once in a while I just won't take it. But I sure do love that truck!! I would move somewhere else before getting rid of it.

Most of it is jealously or ignorance, but jealous people tend to hate on things they are jealous of, from 4 year old bullies to adult journalists.

The ones that hate it are the same morons that called the CT vaporware, until it became real. Then they couldn't really change their story.
THIS!
I can’t tell you how many times people have told me “you wasted your money, that thing will never be made” then go on to wax hormonal about their GMC/Ford/Chevy/Dodge. Now it’s real, it’s here and I’m close to getting one the people who were bitching about are awfully quiet.

I've commented about the needless unending hate in other posts. I just don't get why. It's not for me but why anyone would comment about the CT's looks etc is just nuts. Kind of like commenting about someone else's wife or child's. Why comment at all? It's just mean and childish.

Look it's a great truck and you guys should be proud. No one crowds around my Lightning. I don't have to stave off endless questions and repeatedly clean handprints. Clearly the public fascination is strong. I love my truck but it doesn't mean I have to hate the CT. I really think the moderators should have shut down posts like the CT is a sham etc. Why let them post stuff like that at all. I see nothing that is not petty and unnecessary.

Gas carriages will never replace the horse! Where will we get all the gas?

There seems to be an endless stream of Cybertruck haters on the internet, including publications like Jalopnik and others. Even on this forum there seems to be a lot of dissatisfaction. So I thought I would do a simple poll.
BEVs & Electrification are disruptive in so many ways. The Oil and Gas industry from day one (John D Rockefeller, the founder in 1870 of Standard Oil which is now Exxon Mobil) was notorious for destroying its completion. They have billions in profit to loose. The Car dealers make their money on service of ICE cars and want nothing to do with BEVs. The media makes Billions from Oil and Gas Industry, Car dealer and OEM advertisements. Tesla spends zero dollars to traditional media. This is the simple reason for So much effort going into stopping BEVs and Electrification.

Cannot answer this poll because my CT is not yet here. However, since 2016 I have bought six Tesla's. 3 for myself, 2 for my wife and one for our daughter. Our son drives my wife's 2018 model 3. Of all the 6 we have had practically no problems compared to previous ICE cars. Not to mentions no need to stop for gas since we all charge at home and no oil changes. I expect the same with the CT when it comes. There is nothing weird about its looks if you compare it to cars like Jeeps without doors and Lexus with its weird angles.

Awe, that is a bummer; sorry that is happening to both of you. Do share a post if the drive units fix it, please! thanks. I pick mine up tomorrow; so excited!

I love my Cybertruck! Best car ever.

I was at the Safeway yesterday and a boy came up with an ear-to-ear grin and said “I love the Cybertruck!”. It made me happy so I invited him into the truck and showed him and his grandmother some of the workings. I haven’t heard any complaints from real people, only excitement.

like Elon said, if you want to know about the Cybertruck ask a kid.

Model X also vibrates from 40-50MPH but my local SC blows it off
