so figure we wait 205 days from config to pick up pretty much?
(+/-) 150 days, since there's the few lucky ones that get the CB within a month of ordering, while there are others who are day 1 reservists OR live real far from Texas, like Washington.

I haven't seen this question before... Does Tesla batch VINs and send them out at certain times during the day or do they send them out all throughout the day?

Follow up question: Do they send out VINs on the weekends?

Follow up to the follow up: Will the change to a 4 day work week change this?

I suspect nobody will be able to give more than anecdotal responses but any answers may help wean me off my hourly check for a VIN... :p

... yeah, it's only hourly.

So just got an email for "Next Steps for Your Cybertruck Order" It looks like it's just a general info on what to expect. I still have no VIN, but the second step in financing to submit paper work for Proof of Payment. I haven't finalized my loan yet, because I'll be paying a chunk of it in cash and still need to sell my Car(Waiting for VIN). Has anyone else got this email, what does it mean?( Am I closer) Do I need to finalize payment before I'll get a VIN?

I think you got a truck assigned. Congratulations. It was an email and not text?

I thought you had to use the Tesla app to check for VIN? Is there a way to see it on the website?

I log into the website. My Model Y has a VIN. So, I look over at my Cybertruck and, no... it has a RN113344xxx instead of a VIN. Then, just in case that doesn't change, I click on "Manage" (still just an RN) and then "Manage order". At this point, I see "Cybertruck RN113344xxx" and the Design (what I ordered) and then a link "Cancel Order". Others say there's a "Modify order" or something here as well for making changes. I have never seen that.

Anyway, that's my "at work" check because I can't check my phone from work. I've got my wife interested enough that she texts me "No VIN" or, my favorite "No Vignette".

I think this'll work. Back in the day (2020) when we were checking for a VIN for her first Model Y, there was a plug-in for Explorer that would search your Tesla page for your VIN and it would find it a day or two before Tesla would post it. Exciting times. I don't think there's anything like that now.

I been following JoeTegtmeyer on YouTube for gigafactory updates, more specifically production changes on the Cybertruck. According to his latest video, CT production appears to have significantly jumped this week, despite the new 4-12s schedule they have.

He appears to be a reliable resource on production changes.

I would wait for a VIN

This is tricky I never even got a vin until the day of practically (reserved in 2019) I got notified on Friday July5th "your cyber truck is almost ready for pick up" the next day on Saturday. On Friday is when I got notified at like 8am... So you never know ... When I picked up the car it was dirty, grease smudges inside, full of dust and dirty with the paper floor matts inside though, and the outside was bad. I was expecting a youtube like experience but it was nothing like that, I was told to use the app and grab your car out side, it was a pretty bad experience for waiting for so long.

Was this at a Tesla service center?
