Cyberbeast waiting room ⏳

Received our Beast VIN yesterday, 24XXX. Ordered 2/13 and the VIN came 161 days later for Northern IL.

I’m in Illinois as well this gives me hope! Been 4.5 months already ?

Day 156

I checked my app all day, every hour or so, and sometimes more. Around 3:45pm, I opened the app which now looked like this on the main page:

So guys, you don't need to be clicking through a bunch of crap. It shows up on the main screen. I could have save 10000 clicks and a lot of wear on my phone if I knew this...

Anyways, I immediately started clicking about to see if I could schedule pickup. I could not. It gave me payment options and insurance options, but that was all. I also could not yet seem to do any sort of chat or call from the Tesla app because I don't actually have a vehicle yet. So I began trying to call my service center by phone. I walked the whole phone tree over the next 20 minutes. Every path lead to a hang up.
F it, I am getting in the car and driving there.

On my way to the service center I called my wife and told her the great news. I told her that realistically, it means we actually see a truck no earlier than this weekend, but likely in a few weeks.

I arrived at the Tyson's service center and did not have to wait long to talk to someone. She was very friendly and helpful and looked up my VIN. She said the truck IS HERE RIGHT NOW! She then took me on a walk back through a warehouse and we located the Beast. There it was, in all of its glory!

Unfortunately, it is now around 4:30pm. While it is a Christmas miracle that over the span of 45 minutes I went from nothing, to a VIN, to a real life Beast, but unfortunately my luck ends here. There is no possible way for me to conjure up $127k after market close on a random Thursday with no notice. I had to head home with nothing.

Was it real? Was it a dream? I am scheduled to pick up tomorrow, but I don't actually know if I can unlock my money that fast. It might have to be Monday or Tuesday, but time will tell.

(Oh, and there were no wheel covers on the wheels.)

1. New tranche of invitations out in July? (gleaned from X posts, etc.)
2. Tesla reactivates "Accelerate Your Cybertruck" program (Gone since February/March?)
3. Production increased from 1,000/week to (most recently) 1,400/week.

If Tesla is sending out new invitations and programs, it seems like they would do so in response to getting to the end of deliveries from their May (and earlier?) tranches. Why reactivate the Accelerate Your Cybertruck early delivery program?

How does dry anode batteries and revamped motors figure into the equation?

Good question. It shouldn't affect delivery time though. Where are you picking it up?

I got a new VIN Tuesday and am picking up Saturday. My first VIN came in late June but I didn’t take delivery because I was OCONUS.

I just watched all of the Cybertruck instruction videos on the app. I seriously doubt that watching them (could there be some internal status marking videos as "watched"?) makes any bit of difference.....but, why not?

People are saying that priority is being given to current/previous Tesla owners (really?)...so if that's true, is it so outlandish to think that the app has some way of flagging whether or not the instruction videos were watched?
