Parked in the garage, no sentry mode and “alarm” went off at 1:39 last night. I did however leave the tailgate and tonneau open. Maybe it woke and triggered it?!? Thoughts would be appreciated!

I don't think the alarm works on my model 3 without sentry on. Perhaps it's just never gone off when I don't have sentry and assumed that. Interesting

I had this happen last week. I was sitting at work, had walked away from the truck with the tonneau open and the tailgate down. But nobody was near the truck for probably an hour when the alarm randomly went off. I had just downloaded and installed the latest software too, so it's not something that was remedied quietly with an update (yet).

Cool, thanks for commenting. Nice to know that we don’t have ghosts in the garage.

My trucks alarm went off at 0655 this monday morning. Tailgate was left down. No indication of anything happening in the garage from the camaras.

The alarm works, it just tends to take someone actually trying to break into the car to set it off.

Are you on the latest update? I haven’t had this issue anymore since a few updates ago.

My truck just went off again at 0959. I then shut the tailgate to see if this makes the difference. I have software 2024.20.9

Update/Edit: we have had really heavy rains here to the point of less than 30ft visibility. The tailgate was closed during the 2 hour drive home yesterday and, after letting the bed air out from the little water that came in when i unloaded it, i shut the tailgate and water came pouring out the bottom. The only thing related to the alarm in the tailgate would be the closed indicator and the camera. I add this info hoping together we can figure out the root cause.

Are you sure no one entered your garage then ran away when the alarm went off? Did you have sentry mode on?
