I have zero regrets about paying $99,990 for my FS AWD. Hell, I'd have probably forked over $10k more if they had demanded it. The truck is so worth it
Same here. I would have paid more. They did give us some free goodies though.

I probably was willing to pay 20k more even without those goodies. I don’t really care about those goodies except AT tires and FSD. Premium data is nice.

As a reveal night reserver, it will be Rivian here I come if there will be an additional FSD only priority on top of the already 4 years waiting and bait and switch price blow outs. I have loved the three Teslas I have owned, but the antics of it's part-time CEO is wearing thin.

I would guess there are many tens of thousands of people in the same boat as you. First 50-60 (whatever it was in 2019), then 80 on delivery event day, then actually 100…

Hoping they do 80 for you and many others

The FS trucks appears to be ending soon and “normal” versions will likely start production shortly. However, Tesla being Tesla I predict a catch will be involved and it will be a big one.

My prediction is that non-FS AWD and CyberBeast trucks will be offered at $80k and $100k respectively BUT Tesla will initially make Full Self Driving MANDATORY during the initial non-FS launch due to high demand. This mandatory option will eventually be dropped as buyer demand wanes for the Cybertruck.

The $79,990 AWD version will still qualify for the $7500 tax credit since software doesn’t count towards the $80k price cap.

Bottom line? It might be years before you can purchase a $79,990 Cybertruck with the $7500 federal tax credit.

i dont think the irs will allow the tax credit if fsd is mandatory becuase then its part of the purchase price, unless tesla decides the hell with the tax credit altogether.

they can just keep it optional and give priority delivery to fsd trucks and achieve the same thing profit wise while giving customers access to the tax credit.

I do agree that other software options might be created, like powershare or off road mode, but I personally hope not. Im a day 5 reservation holder waiting for non fs and I’ll probably only purchase if i have the tax credit.

I get it. The $7500 instant federal tax credit is a huge sales incentive.

I would think most of the people buying the cybertruck wouldn’t even qualify for the tax credit anyway.

The Cybertruck in this picture has a bend in the steel going from lower front tire fender to the top of the tailgate. What is the story with this Cybertruck?

I'm not sure why they are making people pay 8k for a feature that does not exist.
There is a huge market for people like me who want to subscribe as needed.
Tesla is not making anyone pay for anything they don't want. If you don't want what they are offering, don't buy it! It really is that simple!

It's a photoshopped image I found it on the Interweb. I found the styling very intriguing.

Cybertruck 2.0 around 2030?

The thing is, there are a number of reasons why Rivian has a surplus of R1T's, while people are still waiting to buy a Cybertruck. And that's true even though Tesla is already producing the Cybertruck in higher numbers than Rivian produces the R1T and you cannot buy a Cybertruck without paying the $20K premium. The Cybertruck is bigger, more nimble, rides quieter and smoother off-road (and on), has a better stereo, more ground clearance, better software, and is much tougher and more damage resistant.

When my wife and I returned to the Cybertruck after eating dinner there was a dad and his two boys checking it out. Before I knew he was a Rivian owner I said, "watch this" and proceeded to give the door a very stout kick with the toe of my boot. Of course, it left no damage. After they departed, I looked over to see them getting in a Rivian two cars away. When the dad saw me looking he said, "Don't try that on my Rivian!" :ROFLMAO:

Yeah, it would have caused $6,000 damage! That said, buying a Rivian will help out electrification more than buying a Cybertruck, so I hope you support Rivian. Myself, I'm selfish, so I had to get the one that offered me the most value, the most functionality, the most durability, even if it came at the expense of increasing wait times for those behind me in line. Damn everyone else, I wanted mine!

Why not? At only $72K for a full-sized 4WD truck, that's a great deal, even before you consider it's not an ICE pickup. Plenty of people under the tax credit income limits would find that compelling.

The 60k Cybertruck in 2025 is quite the fantasy lol

I would really be surprised if Tesla pulls that off.

Makes two of us.

Tesla can pull it off if they de-content the truck. Making the tonneau cover optional and stripping down the sound system are two easy ones.

It could be a manual tonneau, but if they get rid of it, it will kill the range.

I am curious if they have stuff like basic audio and optional tonneau or even PowerShare being an optional software addon.

Really wont know the value of the FS until the non-FS pricing comes out.
