Protip: Solution to install the under designed and misaligned Vault Cargo Divider!

I have come up with this solution, since this Valt Cargo Divider would not be aligned in the bed L Track.
I have used two L Track Hooks on both sides of the Cargo Divider and it works pretty well and strong!

I love that idea thank you. I bought one because of the 2500 spend and it's still in the box, because, like your picture I have a bed mat on top. Now I dont have to cut the bed mat to fit the cargo divider. As a side note I also bought the cargo bins and they fit perfectly in the grooves of the bed mat and dont move at all.

Nice trick. I found that even without using the L track hooks, the divider holds tight when you lock it in place, even though the divider is not fitting into the actual L track. I also did not want to cut the mat or buy a new divider.

It is a warranty repair to get it to fit. I had it done this week, took about an hour.

I still had problems getting it to fit after the fix, the tech came out and showed me how to push it down to lock it in place. Not nearly as easy as the Ram bed divider was but it does hold now. I do miss the Ram one that doubled as a bed extender but can't have everything!

thx problem for me is I dont want to give up the bed mat. they won't warranty fix it with the bed mat on. this solution is perfect for me

So... you need tools to move it. I've ordered a divider, and I hope they've fixed the issues so it works right.

The 3d printed inserts worked well for.me. Extremely.tight fit.

"Within spec" per my service center. Even showed them the modification to show it was not.... Within spec.

Oh wow, great fix! I have the same bed mat as you and haven't had any luck installing my divider yet. I am going to purchase a couple L track hooks and try this!

I was thinking of cutting my bed mat like you to make the divider work, but like the OP and others state, I don't want to cut and damage the mat.

There is a thread on here that shows a great way to fix the issue and it worked for me. You just unscrew the ends and take out the plastic guide it gives you little play of movement on both sides and just enough to be able to clip them in
